Yeah that Mexican factory definitely does some shoddy work but Criterion and SF still charge premium prices. Kino does too but they have sales more often.

How is the dvd and laser disc better? Seems like you would have to have the right set up for playing those. The dvd wasn't even anamorphic widescreen I believe. Idk about rushing it as blu-rays came out like nearly 20 years ago now so they have had quite a bit of time to get an HD release out.
