When a project charter is not there, actually you are not authorised by that organisation to commit any of their resources for the project. It's the most important document in a project and without this document your project cannot be initiated as their is no legal existence of the project without project charter. Also without project charter, you may not have any hi-level idea about the importance and alignment of the project with the organisation's strategy. Moreover, you might want to get a hi-level idea on the success criteria and constraints of the project during the initiation phase which you can know from studying the project charter.

Hi Nirmal, it can differ from organization to organization but in an ideal scenario the Business Analyst should be working with the Sponsor including the Project Manager to create this 👍
