I strongly agree with all the concerns raised regarding the logo. PMI is a leading institution in project management, so its visual identity should reflect clarity, innovation, and trustworthiness. So, I kindly urge the PMI team to carefully consider this feedback and take prompt action to either refine or redesign the logo to better align with PMI’s mission and the expectations of the global community of professionals. Thank you in advance!

The old logo is very clear and regardless of size we can always tell what the logo/ badge represents. The new logo seems to hide what is important. Simplicity is certainly better.

I agree with the points explained - the darkness, small font, and cluttered logo. All three add to the illegibility and lessen the impact compared to the previous logo. Additionally, the old logo has built a positive brand and recognition. I see little benefit and rather a loss in adopting this new logo design. I hope PMI reconsiders their decision.
@juliademurcheva96722 ай бұрын
Completely agree. I think that the old logo is just amazing, very clear, clean and simple! The new one is difficult to read, too much information in small font, quite agressive purple square in the middle. Too dark indeed.

I like the new logo with some tweaks. Instead of the "PMP" being in the purple box, it should be white text, large font, on the dark background.

The Original logo appears to be more suited for professional certification courses, such as PMP, for the following reasons: • Simplicity: A clean and uncluttered design is often more impactful. The previous logo meets this criterion effectively. • Relevance: The logo should accurately represent the brand and its offerings. The previous logo aligns with this criterion more effectively than the new design. • Versatility: A logo must be adaptable across various sizes and formats. Both the old and new logos meet this requirement. Given these considerations, I recommend retaining the Original logo for the PMP certification course.
@sors202 ай бұрын
I disagree that the new logo is adaptable across various sizes. When Andrew shrank them down, the new one became nothing more than a dark blob on the page.
@allstaryvr19722 ай бұрын
Agreed that the logo has poor contrast. What they haven't considered in designing it is it's scalability, as you noted. I am apprehensive to add it to my resume due to this issue.
@RT3652 ай бұрын
My recommendation: I see where PMI is going. Take a look at the Rolex GMTII Bruce Wayne. Adapt the Black and Gray just like on the watch to the current logo. Change the PMP letters to mirror the black to gray from the bezel. Last use the same color combination to the violet square leave the orange and light blue items the same.
@maheshmane28852 ай бұрын
Totally agree with your opinion, the old logo was the better one, PMI needs to modify the new as you correctly described.

Just recently passed my PMP. I was excited to see the darker PMP logo, I thought it was sleek! I do agree with the issue of it not being legible when you reduce in size. A great compromise is the option is to design a light and dark logo that can be used for different formats. One can dream! 🤓

The issue nowadays is that everyone wants to innovate and make something new, bigger, better, etc. Nothing was wrong with the original logo and PMI fell into this category where they felt the need to "improve" what was already fine with something worse.

I completely agree. In regard to the new logo, the background color is too dark, the font is too small and there are too many colors represented in the logo. Simple is better. When I ran for office we had to make lawn signs. Best advice I heard was make a design and then print it off so it can fit on your THUMB and still be legible. You could put this thing on my leg and still have trouble decoding it. PS - the PMP purple callout in the middle looks like it veered too far away from a process flow to die in the abyss of logo hell.

Since Marketing was my Bachelor's degree, I agree with Andrew on his criticism of the new logo. Black and darkness on the new logo is problematic to be able to see it well. The white and clean old logo are best especially since many employers are already aware of the standard logo. If they needed to spell out PMP, they could've added that to the old logo circle as they did in the new one. Just my 2 cents...

I believe the primary focus should be on improving the quality of materials and integrating AI and other advanced innovations. While I understand the intent, I find the certification logo to be somewhat lacking and not reflective of the high standards we should aim for. I completely agree with Andrew's observations-it seems as though the design was created by someone with zero experience. I would strongly suggest utilizing AI or other design tools to enhance the logo. In its current form, it doesn't align with the professionalism we aspire to
