Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday criticised the opposition for opposing the newly announced counterterrorism operation called Azm-i-Istehkam as the latter demanded that Parliament be taken into confidence before any offensive against militancy was launched.
The government on Saturday announced the operation, vowing to unleash the full force of the country’s military, diplomatic, legislative, and socio-economic arsenal to decisively defeat terrorism and extremism.

I hope I am wrong. My feeling is Shahbaz will be the PM for the rest of the term of 5 years, Maryam will be the CM Punjab for rest of the term. After that Maryam will be elected (of selected) as a PM of Pakistan. We all will be told this is the best thing ever happened to the people of Pakistan and most probably we will all make noise but will will live with it. There is only one way to make real changes in Pakistan, and that is that each and every individual should be on the street protesting.
