You want the strings to go straight to the tuners, and you'd have to use some sort of weird mini tuners to get them any closer together. The Traveler travel guitar puts the tuners in the body and goes headless, but it doesn't have any volume, tone or coil split knobs. They are about the same sort of price $350. There's a cheaper Blackstar model now, the ST, which is about £170, uses Poplar rather than the Okoume (Gabon "Mahogany"), bolt on neck, and fully painted body. I've bought the original (like the one being played here).

Dagan is even a badd-azss on the little mini guitar. The Cat can just flat-out rock anything he gets his hands on. I just picked up a VOX mini. It's really cool too.

@@lukegalvan3093 Smaller than you would think, I have one and it looks about the same length as the guitar hes holding, the gig bag is definitely smaller overall.....maybe hard to tell. Even if it was a bit larger they are definitely "Carry-on-able" travel guitars at any rate. Still an option.

hi guys. i am a beginner learning guitar and im also a flight attendant. is this a good guitar for me to practice on while im away? at home, i have the martin lx1 but id like to get this one because its much smaller and seems ideal to take with me on trips. will the difference in size hinder my progress at all if i constantly switch from the martin lx1 when at home and the blackstar carry on when im working or is it not a problem at all? thank you.

It's a good guitar for learning the basic,but I would recommend you pick a vox sdc1 or a squier mini, because they have a better tunning stability

I received mine friday and been trying to play but it will not stay in tune. Very unhappy with this purchase. Even when it is in tune it sounds like shit. Using katana air amp and tried blackstar amplug with headphones

@@EscapeTheCloudsOfficial i brought mine to my guy that sets up all my acoustics and he stretched out my strings that i had been been stretching for days. Not sure what strings came on the guitar but it finally stays in tune. Cant say im happy with the guitar still. Probably just used to my acoustics and having a full scale lenght. The blackstar guitar is probably fine but my skinny fingers have trouble fitting between the frets and certain chords like Dm7 and D9 sound all messed up even when guitar is completely in tune, could be me! I didnt expect big things from such a small guitar but for simply practicing when you cant have a full axe it works

@@stanleyderochea6505 Thanks for the follow-up. I typically use a baritone solid electric uke for live shows, so I'm already comfortable with short scale size. I wanted to change over to guitar, but, since I'm a one-person act with a lot of gear, I wasn't a fan of all the extra size and weight involved with carrying my studio Les Paul to gigs. The Blackstar seemed like the perfect answer. However, based on what you're saying, I'm going to hold out for some more reviews. It's a brand new product, so hopefully it's just some initial teething issues.
