We had an opportunity to see this boat first hand! We would like to again thank Tim and Lisa for being kind enough to give us a tour of this lovely vessel! Pictures cannot fully convey its true beauty!

Love it - especially the enclosed flybridge. It’s more practical as you get further north and allows that great country kitchen. This is a really lovely boat!

Great tour. Wasn't sure how I would feel about the enclosed bridge. Very nice, the amount of berths amazing. Love the Fleming 85.

Absolutely beautifulboat. I do like the enclosed flybridge. Great for all kinds of different weather, especially when it’s cold and then piloting the boat from that high up gives you so much more of a better field of vision I believe.

Thanks to Tim and Lisa for showing their beautiful boat to us. This boat is the dream of many boaters and when you can operate this size boat with just 2 persons you know you are doing something right. Wish the owners many days, weeks, months and years of happy sailing to ...Somewhere. If Tim and Lisa ever make it over to Europe, we will be on the look out for this vessel in Croatian and Greek waters, which is our standard sailing area.

Beautiful as always with Fleming. A little strange not having a day head on the main level. But with six bathrooms who can complain, especially with a day head in the enclosed bridge. Just gorgeous!

Love the enclosed bridge on the 85’ because an open fly on a trans oceanic boat isn’t the protection that I want. This is my first look at an actual 85’, the last video I watched was hull #1 in the mold. I’m actually surprised at how small the master stateroom is. Can I assume that is due to the fourth stateroom? Beautiful Fleming, finishes a bit bland for my taste but no one is wrong when it comes to their preferences. Looked like a proud captain on the bridge. Thanks for the quick peek.
@TimArmand8 күн бұрын
The master is most definitely smaller due to, as you guessed the fourth stateroom. We also eliminated the stairway direct from the saloon and added a split head arrangement (bath in one compartment, water closet in the other). We also added a chest of drawers. This is all personal preference. The other hulls all have completely different arrangements. It's all owner driven. Thanks.

I was commenting on Tony Flemings channel and I said I would like to have interior engine room access. He graciously responded telling me that they didn't do that because it allows diesel smells to intrude.

Wireless mics can be funny like that sometimes but compared to almost every other yacht in that size category we found the entire interior to be exceptionally quiet.

Is it smaller than the 78?
@TimArmandАй бұрын
It is slightly longer. But at the 85's widest point, it is slightly narrower than the 78 at its widest. But the 85 carries its beam much further aft.

To bad the engine room / crew quarters access is that ladder rather than the stairs the 82 has.
@robertfrost16832 ай бұрын
There is not an 82 And this is a great engine room access.
@jaquigreenlees2 ай бұрын
@@robertfrost1683 the 78 is 82 feet long. and the pull open door of the 78 is better than hidden in a box door of the 85, making the engine room / crew quarters a dirty secret with the hidden in a box door.
@jameshobbs60922 ай бұрын
@@jaquigreenlees Here! Here! I saw that on the mockup years ago and thought why?! Now your crew has to shimmy between guests every time they come and go or just have to use the bathroom.
@TimArmandАй бұрын
Not sure what you are referring to... the crew quarters is access by an interior-facing staircase on the California deck. It is outside, but it is undercover and not exposed to weather. The staircase does wind, but it is definitely not a ladder.
@TimArmandАй бұрын
@@jameshobbs6092 not sure what you mean. The crew (if we had one) has their own full bath and there is no shimmying.

I like the enclosed fly bridge. I'm from Seattle, so I would prefer the enclosure to make sure I'm warm or cool, and dry, year round. Sailing up the inside passage in a downpour with 30 knot winds, without being inside sounds unappealing lol. Enclosed with temps controlled, means your good to go.
@bubbleobill2672 ай бұрын
Living in Darwin Australia I just removed the flybridge from my boat as you get stupidly wet during the monsoon, best thing I’ve ever done. This also allowed me to put an air conditioner on the roof.

I could watch a 5-year-old full tour video of a Fleming and this one and I wouldn't know the difference. Flemings are so outdated, absolutely no innovation whatsoever
@TimArmandАй бұрын
Different strokes... the Flemings maintain a classic look (personally I do not like the look of most "newer" boats with walls of glass) but saying there is no innovation is not correct.

Flemings are nice yachts but i think its time Fleming got away from the teak interiors, its so dated. For a 85 the cabins seem pretty small.
@sirbuftontufton58462 ай бұрын
There are lots of contemporary interior decor options, but most Fleming owners go for the traditional teak. Personally I agree with you.

To remove your shoes when a guest on another vessel is custom, and respectful.
