Found their music during one of the shroom or acid trips I had. It's remarkable how close it looks to the actual experience during tripping. Fractals, recursions, symmetry and subtle waves of energy and such. It's also interesting how different it looks while you are sober. Still very pretty and pleasant to the eye and the ear, but somehow less than it seemed before. Music written under the influence or at least "inspired" by psychedelics seems to have layers to it that you can only feel while tripping yourself. I never listened to Beatles, Rolling Stones, Doors, never would've listened to something so trippy and weird as PNAU either before psychedelics, but then I actually did "see" music while tripping and did notice that some music has more volume or "soul" to it, than other.

Oh for sure! Totally with you there. Music just has a warmth and a shape to it you can feel and almost latch onto. Floyd are my favorite for that kinda stuff out of psychedelic music. Like the amount of soul and emotion Gilmour's guitar solos are able to convey still blow me away.
