Should have timed it with also breaking the bead. That is the biggest battle. Small dia. tires are also harder to do.

bought this to use on radials and stiffer bias tires. does not work. only on a light ply are flimsy off brand and no rust on wheels. gone back to old school bars

I have forermerly been a ken tool, Gaither, TNT GOLDEN tool, TSI, motion pro fan but was still struggling with a European 19.5 so I decided to get on the ESCO band wagon, though I still haven't completely solved my problem, I am pretty happy with the craftsmanship and performance of these tools, it pays to have more than one way to skin a cat.

I like the tool" I have no doubt it's a handy devise" Being a CA retired union HRD/W, you can't have to many tools' I worked in dirt all my working years" chased 666 scarpers from the east coast to the west all those years: super tires to hand trucks: a couple of bars & a third one to dismount those soft walls: any of the hard wall tires no" that tool wont do it. any man enough for one" We called tire service" I spent many a late nights with the tire man, The rim was vary well cleaned up; nice; how long did that take" was it flat rate, just joking" the tire was well conditioned to be removed & replaced by the looks of the fray along the edges; My guess before filming took place there were a few dry runs to get the tires conditioned up some, & so the guy was up to speed: I still recall when a madix was the tool of the trade: hand it to some kid & tell him to have at it breaking the bead seat band from split rims or the one piece rims: It was how I got broke in" look at the old timer thinking no way: yes way he told me: I hand only one tire I did come apart after the fact in 40 years" An other time a fill in for our regular tire people, this guy really screwed up in spades; from time to time I would need to torch the over lap o ring band aka inner rim" there after I use an an extinguisher to put out the fire from all the rubber balls inside the tire, then remove it all, I mean all of it, even throw some water in the tire just in case, other wise guess what although you my not see any fire smoldering, once the same tire were to be remounted the air reignites the crap; an hour later boom' blows the fuel tank up * near out of a 657 or 651, ripping pumps, hose even damaging the hydr--tank: freaking crazy: To be sure the cops will show up wondering what in the hell happened; as Vietnam vet, I seen some crap blow; 657 tires are as good as it gets when they blow: it was an impressive sit from vantage point: Thank God our welder was inside an other can close by, putting some fresh skin on the inside, other wise the blow might had taken him along with it" shot rubber a couple a hundred feet away may be as high by the looks of it, it was rock & roll: it was in the line up hours later on a week end no one standing or working on it: The tire man had his instructions but decided he didn't need to do any of the things I had instructed him to do: the sob, he got his two checks; You can never known when a tool that hardly ever see's the light of day or night will be the one tool you wished you had: don't knock it: although it could end being worthless not worth hauling around: I been there with that a few times:
