I think what everyone forgets is that Pnina Tornai designs haute couture weddings dresses, not just designer dresses. Some of which are going to be more fantasy and less practicality but that is the entire definition of haute couture. Her designs are beautiful, even the ones I wouldn't choose for myself. I would only go to Kleinfelds if I had the money to spend on Pnina.

That last gown! Love the bodice and sleeves and all the marvelous sparkle of it, but a woman would need to be supremely confident in herself to be able to carry off that skirt so elegantly as the model did. She was perfect for it, but someone short and dumpy like me would never manage it.

I am going to try do what my mother suggest...not to say anything if I can't say anything nice...I am a sewer and an extremely picky one, even when I design and construct simple clothes, always meticulously finish seams. I can tell all of these dresses are beautifully constructed and that a lot of thought has gone into the design of these dresses. I also affirm that anyone can wear whatever they want. Personally, however, to me, these dresses don't even look like bridal gowns. They look like cocktail or prom dresses, sort of formal party dresses and some I may even qualify as boudoir outfits...!! It is also obviously that none of these dresses were made for women considered shorter than the average or for less than perfect bodies. I personally also find that most of the dresses have 'too much on them'. ie. the dress at 8:50 with the huge bows...doesn't do a thing for that dress. it looks ridiculous. That dress, althougn not something I would wear, is one of the nicer ones. The dress at 9.27, although not something that would suit my body, I first thought. now, that's classy..until the model turned around...that view ruined the dress! I always go the premise is that although any woman wants and needs to be beautiful on her wedding day, less is more and simple elegance wins over anytime over froufrou dresses with way too much detailing on them. I must say, however that the dress at 12:50 is stunning. Bow in the back, Take it off! , But for me, I would adapt it and make it less pouffy and add sleeves. 3/4 lentgh or wear a simple/lacy demure shawl over my shoulders for a ceremony. If this dress had sleeves, I would have considered it!

I personally think there is too much on her dresses. I like the designs, but they don't really feel like wedding dresses. As a woman of shorter stature, I'm afraid that these dresses would swallow me up. Therefore as much as I like looking at them, I would probably never wear one.

The dresses are stunning. However most women these days wear bras. The vast majority of dresses there is no way to wear a bra without it showing. So unless the bride to be has very tiny very firm breasts these dresses wouldn't work

Pnina's trademark heavy crystal work over boning is starting to look a bit dated. So many of these styles are more appropriate for red carpet evening wear or even for nightgowns than as wedding dresses. I much preferred the Eve of Milady 2014 show. Her sheer embroidered backs were a refreshing change from the endless parade of strapless we've been served up the last few years.
