PNW 2023 Part 11 Cascades, Chelan, WA

We had one more Washington location to explore. The entire Columbia and Wenatchee River valleys are full of orchards. Along the south banks of Lake Chelan, just 40 miles up the Columbia from Wenatchee, is the small town of Chelan. It is home to not only some wonderful orchards, it is also one of Washington’s phenomenal wine areas and its proximity to North Cascades National Park was too great to ignore when we were that close. So even with the multi-day forecast of rain, we pressed on to our last Washington stop of the trip.
