@@user-DeLorean-Dude2024 it might not get scrapped. They're still awaiting the reopening of the Oklahoma and Kansas Railroad formerly BNGR that was shut down earlier this year due to a disgusting conductor allowing minors in the cab.

#1501 is on better tracks than #1801. If DieselMotive were to change their mind, they could pull 1501 out of there easily. #1801 would be more of a challenge though since the tracks it's stored on are in horrible condition

@@BNSFrailfan01 that’s one of the reasons why the BUGX railroad shut down, because they spent money on buying locomotives than maintenance on track. I know it’s not what they want, but it’s something they need to save all the trouble from their locomotives derailing on corrupted track.

There’s a possibility it could go to a nearby museum; however, I reached out to that museum and they said they have no current plans to acquire it.

Multiple DieselMotive locomotives on the still defunct BNGR. I sure hope scrapping isnt the fate of #1501 and #1801. They're sitting in storage awaiting an uncertain fate. Their fate is to be determined by DieselMotive. If they aren't scrapped, they'll continue sitting around until the Oklahoma and Kansas Railroad finally reopens. Maybe #1501 and #1801 could join #156 at ORM and put to work on their excursions while BUGX still retains ownership of them.
