@adapttuition Chris, I'm telling the gospel truth. Give a man his 💐 now he's here to smell and appreciate them. This is my first time doing accounts as a subject, and I was about to quit it, but each time I go to class and come back home, I go straight to your channel and my confidence and understanding is building. I'm sure that my watching time on your videos is over 20 hours per week. I'm from St.kitts, and I want to thank you for the good content and your way of teaching.

Hi Ariel 😊happy to know that you’re still benefitting from the content in university That’s the beauty of it, accounting basics don’t change so you can use them for as long as you nee Keep up the great work! What university are you attending and what degree are you pursuing?

@@adapttuition I also had 2 separate questions tho. 1) Why is capital entered as a credit? 2) Is the rule of DR = $ in and CR = $ out correct? I’m studying at Berlin School of Business Innovation in Germany and doing my Bachelor’s degree in International Business & Management.

@arielthompson415 wow! That is awesome that you’re all the way there! Congrats and best wishes 😊 I also did my degree in management studies and minored in finance in trinidad at UWI I was trying to do a masters in the states but never got accepted Anyway, life is still good and I’m still learning and sharing Ok so, the rule is more like “Credit where it’s coming from and debit where it’s going” The “it” being money or value So seeing as money comes from capital, that’s why we credit capital And if it comes from capital and goes to bank then we debit bank. Hope that helps 😊

@@adapttuition it definitely did, thank you so much! And for Q #1 about capital as a credit?
@adapttuition
@adapttuition 9 ай бұрын
😊 So, yes, because money is coming from capital and going into the business we credit capital to record when the owner puts in any resource into the business

Supposed to be doing that for next week but with things kinda picking up pace as we near exams I'm not sure I'll get around to it. Message me on Instagram @adapttuition and I'll send you a pic if I have that solution done already.

So what should be the date for balance carry down?
@adapttuition

Hi, are you asking if April has 30 days or telling me it doesn't? I'm not entirely sure how to interpret your comment or what the context was for the comment. Could you clarify for me please? Thanks :)

Hi, at the end of the month when we balance off the t-accounts we usually apply the date of the last day in the month for the balance carried down. As you'll see in the video I use that date to to carry down the balances in each t-account at the end of the month.

@@adapttuition Sorry about that uhmm.... There are 28 days in April and 29 in every leap year. I think it should be 29 in this question because it has a transaction on April 29th so that is a leap year.
