Sir my teacher told us that we only use brackets for subtraction. The layout of everything (the information) is fine and I can see it clearly on my phone.

Thank you very much for the feedback, I really appreciate it! Brackets can be used for deductions, yes, however I am also familiar with them being used for debit/negative items throughout statements. This might be something that is a bit old fashioned and I guess old habits die hard 😄 But once you understand everything I’m happy with that and please feel free to ask any questions! Sir for the general journal question, does putting the correct date play a part in getting the answer right or wrong? i saw you left it out.... i checked it and i got 31 December 2021 (2018 + 3yrs) and seeing as they put the space for folio is that necessary as well?

Hi, the dates are important. I have a bad habit of leaving them out in the past paper solutions and I need to fix that. It would actually be Dec 31 2020. I know they said "one year later" and then "two years later" and one plus two is three. However, my interpretation is that both of these are relative to Dec 31 2018, they aren't cumulative. Again, that's just my interpretation. I also say that based on the fact that no past paper gives questions that require statements or calculations that have dates past the date of the actual exam.

In the capital section of a cooperative's balance sheet is share capital and reserves. The appropriation account items DO NOT go in the capital section of the balance sheet except for undistributed surplus. Also, that video where I have honorarium as an expense... yeh, that was wrong. I made a follow up video to correct the error.

Are we talking about LLCs or cooperatives? I’m a little confused now 😅 the honorarium is an appropriation item under cooperatives, it does not exist in LLCs. Also, could you comment on / reply to your own comment so it pops up in my notifications? I have a lot of notifications coming in right now so some of them get lost in the clutter.

Hi, Sharon 😊 You can check out the videos on this channel. I’m sure they’ll be if help. But the key is you have to believe that you can get better if you put in the work. Please know that mistakes are a part of the process and we all make them. So don’t let that discourage you. Always acknowledge what you’ve done right, not just the mistakes. And, you can always ask questions a if you don’t know something 😊 You can do it, I believe in you!

Hi! Sorry, no, these were just the solutions for the Jan 2021 paper 2. That release of topics was pointless. They could have simply said, "Ok, we're not gonna test manufacturing or stock valuation, but everything else could still come on the exam."

The examining body removed almost the entirety of non-profit (non-trading) organizations from the CSEC PoA syllabus and as a result CSEC students no longer need to know how to do subscriptions accounts, bar trading accounts, income and expenditure accounts, and statements of affairs for clubs. We still have to teach the receipts and payments account though and I have a video on that from back in 2019. I have solutions for the CSEC past paper questions on that topic though and they can be found on my facebook page but unless you know the years of the questions and the question number it'll be a bit time consuming for you to go looking for them.

I used to feel the same way about it. what helped me was to take it piece by piece. It took me a while to get it though. I spent hours working through questions and making mistakes. Don't worry, keep working at it and asking questions. :) You'll get it!
