It’s sad that Disney doesn’t make movies like this anymore 😭😭

I never cared for this movie. I only watched it once and only liked the song "Colors of the Wind", but after knowing the true story behind Pochahontas, this is something I would never show my kids. Rob, with Pat consigning, said it perfectly: it would've been a good story, but they should've never made this movie based on a true story. Disney completely white washed the hell out of her story and made John Smith look like a hero. On the bright side, she's the first Disney princess of color, so 👏👏👏for that, and after this, they learned their lesson and did better with Mulan.

I miss 2D drawn animated movies. Most recent that I can think of that was released in theaters is the Bob’s Burgers movies. I know next year, there is a Daffy Duck and Porky Pig movie.

my mom got this movie for my birthday,i had a pocahontas theme party and we watched the movie after cake and ice cream. also i always found Kocoum more attractive than John Smith,like as an adult now she fumbled the bag but i didn't know the real story till i got to college and learned they were actually married and she was 12 when she first met john smith. the movie still holds a special place in my heart tho

Though I LOVE this movie, Disney is known for being historically inaccurate lol. Pocahontas actually, was in love with the John she meets in the second movie. She was also 14, mostly naked, and a good amount of her head was shaved.

Not my favorite Disney movie. But I did thought visual, it looked pretty colorful and I did like the vibe and atmosphere. Also think the songs are underrated.

I believe this movie was the beginning of the end of the Disney Renaissance in the '90s. With bangers like The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas just felt tired and redundant (and historically inaccurate).

Does anyone believe Kocoum is responsible for his own death? Because of his: STRONG jealousy and hatred for John & HUGE obsessive crush, love, and passion for Pocahontas All those feeling he had were all _actually_ his *own fate* in you guys' opinion(s)?
@RedPandaGirl0024 сағат бұрын
Q: Shouldn't Pocahontas _should have_ *thanked* Thomas for sparing her TRUE love, John's life from Kocoum, instead of getting incredibly angry and lashing out at him? Besides, she never really wanted to marry Kocoum anyway and therefore she is finally *free* from that silly _arranged married_ she never really wanted to be part of in the first place! 🤦♀️

Might be unpopular but I found this movie to be mid as hell. The music was phenomenal. But as an overall movie I just couldn't find myself enjoying it
