Pochampally - a weaving village in Telangana, India is synonymous with silk sarees in traditional geometric patterns woven in Ikkat style. It's distinctiveness lies in the transfer of intricate designs and colours onto warp and weft threads first and then weave them together. Bold choice of colours is one of the unique feature in the Pochampally Ikat weaving process.
