Just two opinions about Poch’s lineup and management yesterday: 1: He received a lot of stick for putting defenders on yesterday later on in the game. As a coach myself, what people dont understand is when you want to go all out attack, you dont take out defenders for attackers. You still have to keep a slight balance just in case of a counter attack. Rather, you take out already horrible defending CB and an injured RB for fresh legs to chase counters just in case AND you take defensive midfielders for attackers! This was actually basic coaching 101. Honestly, this was the smartest thing to do. Notice that when Chalobah came on, they didnt even sniff our goal. 2: This game couldnt have possibly been Poch’s fault. He set the team up perfectly based off the available players. We were 2-0 up until an unfortunate mistake of Caicedo which isnt Poch’s fault. We cant seriously keep blaming the manager for things that arent his fault. We have injuries, new players, young team, no experience. All of these together at the same time are a recipe for disaster. **We must stop looking at Poch as a Spurs manager. Plain and simple. He is our coach now and the way he has been very wise to want to prove it to the fans that he loves THIS club now is evidence of that. The players clearly back him and i havent seen a coach back his players as much as Poch does for these kids. He would rather look stupid on camera saying stupid stuff than have them bash these young players. Poch is a good man and manager. GIVE HIM TIME AND WE WILL BE GREAT IN NO TIME 🙏💪🔵🔵

Yeah, I think Lavia is supposed to play the lone pivot role (the Dier role) and Caicedo is being misplayed to cover him, which is why he's looked shakey at times. I didn't see many brighton games but i think he will be better in the right 8 position. Obviously our 2 fit centre backs aren't up to it. So when we have Lavia to drop back in between Fofana and Colwill when our full backs bomb on, we should hopefully ship a lot less goals🤞

So it’s beyond Poch’s responsibilities and we’re doing better with him as the manager. He will never be the long term solution to win big titles but keeping him for another year for player development is fine.

I have to disagree with your general assessment on Poch. He has done more good than bad. What we don’t realize is that while the team is not much better in terms of league position, the team is better in play-style and player development. These frantic games are largely down to player errors more so than tactics and when these are the tactics employed, it’s because Poch knows that we struggle to maintain possession in a meaningful way. He opts to allow the attackers to score goals because that’s ultimately how you will win games. I guarantee that if he’s here in the next season you will see some evolution because the players will be more mature and he may get one or two additions. He’s done well when you think about all that’s happened. I say that while I also acknowledge that he hasn’t been perfect.

I understand the frustration with Caicedo, especially with the price tag, but I think it's unfair to judge him on one bad game. Both his stats and play in midfield have been really solid since January, and that's still considering that he is criminally isolated between the defense and rest of midfield let alone attack. Some of his best contributions have come when is given a freer range and/or when he has a steady companion to play back and forth with (i.e. Enzo sticking close by)... if you look at how he plays in the national team, where he's had huge impacts, it's definitely not as a lone static 6.

Everyone knows Cole Palmer saved Pochettino this season. But he seems like a nice guy. So I'll say it respectfully, we need to part ways by mutual consent. He'll find another club and I'm very confident we can get an equally good manager if not better and give it time(note no one even had an issue with Tuchel while here and he's free too, ask PSG fans about Pochettino if you're counting Bayern stint). It's needless connection mending currently. Just have Tuchel back and we get two things: 1) We get a better gauge for the players(TT had us top 4 twice, and wasn't even out of top 6 when sacked), so if we flail with him at midtable then the players are just not it. 2) The fans are instantly connected again. If we simply get a random new face and fail to get result then we'll be at this point again. Not knowing answers. With Tuchel, it'll be more clear what we need to do.
