No issue with players wanting to step up, but you must have a penalty specialist, if they on the field they take it. Poor form from Noni and Jackson, blotting an otherwise decent performance. Noni looked good starting as did Mudryk allowing Palmer to roam in #10. If Enzo is to partner Caicedo MUST be in a deeper #6 double pivot. We been conceding so many goals we cant isolate Caicedo in defensive midfield anymore. Gallagher nor Enzo are #10s n not productive enough in #8 role. We either retain double 6 pivot or change formation. Everyone looked good and ball movement going forward much quicker with less pressure passing back today. Poch needs to bottle the energy of today, rewatch the match and thats the level they need to stay at

Yeah, this is quite the issue. We have 2 100M+ central midfielders that don't seem to work well together. Enzo looked great last year without Caiciado and now Caiciado looks much better without him. Poch's gonna need to address this going into the off-season if hes still in charge. Something needs to change, we cant just sell one and eat the loss anymore with FFP.

The best defences are the ones where they play week in week out with each other.... our injuries throughout the season have really created a back 4 that rarely plays together. It changes almost every game and this in itself leads to our historically bad defending. I'm hoping next season and we keep the same back 4 together for 85% of matches and we're golden. I always find it weird how these situations get blown out of proportion. Yes it was not a good look but 4-0 I can see why Noni and Jackson may have wanted to take it. Each for different but similar reasons. I see why Noni wanted it he's been given a raw deal a lot of the season. Even when he played well in other games he was benched the next game. Let's not pretend scoring a goal does not positively impacts the confidence of forwards. I get it Palmer is the designated taker and there's a golden boot up for grabs. Weirdly enough this debacle has made Poch publically stamp his authority. Now he has to hold them accountable if someone tries to take the pen off Palmer without his and Palmers permission. I hope Poch had a private word with both of them and it ends there. Obviously they apologize to Palmer as well. Done and done.

The funniest thing is that I don't even think this should have been a penalty to begin with. Both fouls initially looked penalty worth but in the close-ups that changed completely. Anyway, I kinda get the scrap but Jackson and Noni should know better than behaving like that. Credit to Gallagher for breaking it up. I would have immediately taken off both already. We could have easily afforded to do so and Carney and Washington could really use the minutes. Good to hear that Poch will get them off next time something like this happens.

It is a pity that this petty and childish behaviour exists within the club, but what is even worse, is that this is all the talk... not the 4 Goals Palmer scored and the 6-0 Victory. This epitomizes our season; moments of greatness, yet overall, it is the downsides that prevail. Madueke and Jackson were embarrassing for this behaviour. Huge respect to Callagher for stepping in too. Poch seems like he has very little control over these young egos. I think next season we need some natural born leaders appointed. Someone who is a veteran who commands respect on the pitch. Thiago Silva was that guy for a while, but he is almost pushing 40 now. This ongoing issue with the Medical Team regarding our excessive and persistant injuries with a spineless Manager is starting to cause major concern.

Stable midfield & defense are the foundation for any great team. The midfield yesterday was on point. Poch needs to sort out Enzo & caicedo's positions. Also to say hes the reason for the attacks success is crazy. We score because of individual brilliance in most instances rather than coached patterns. E.g the first goal yesterday. Also he didnt want to start Palmer at the start of the season until he played so well he had no choice. Also part of the reason we concede so many is because we're so bad on the transition and this is equally the fault of the attackers as it is Enzo etc. ill give Poch credit for coaching when i start to see a consistent approach when we win, lose or draw

This childish squabble about taking penalties shows me that Poch hasn't really stamp his authority on the players. A while back Sterling grab the ball and missed the penalty and you would have thought that a manager would have had something to say about it, since we all know that Palmer is the designated penalty taker. But for this scenario to reoccur tells me that Poch's counsel or reprimand had fallen on deaf ears and the players involved in this drama show little respect in "what he says goes." It's either that, or he never addressed this issue in the first place, which in my opinion is even worst. If that's the case, then it's no surprise that this kind of behaviour is allowed to continue on the pitch. This is very telling given how weak Poch is in character and it also reveals his inability to mark his territory as team coach and seal what he wants done on the pitch. Do you think Guardiola, Mourinho or Conte would have put up with this charade. I think not. Poch out!
