What my pocket prayer quilt says to me. There are three layers of fabric, this reminds me of the Trinity, The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. The Cross inside that you can feel but not see represents God who is inside me that I cannot see. The stitching around is the path God provides for me to follow to keep God always inside me. The safety pin reminds me that keeping God inside me always leads me to safety. The colors of the fabrics remind me that God loves all colors equally. The string tying my pocket Quilt together in the middle reminds me of Gods love that p binds all of us together. A quilt warms us from the outside in. This Pocket Prayer Quilt warms us from the inside out. Always remember to pray.

I am sitting here trying to make last minute quilted pocket prayers to give out for Christmas when I found this video. Not only did you answer my problem ( turning so small a quilt was impossible!), but you also lifted me up with your encouraging reading at the end. I just ordered a copy of the book. I have struggled for 34 years with sarcoidosis, & at 68 now on oxygen and frustrated with how I too have problems dropping things, & finding things ha! Just watched your video. Got tearful at the end, but it is so hopefull too. Wow what an amazing woman you are ❤❤❤ thank you for this video. Id love a prayer pocket. Im in alcohol recovery doing well. Got diagnosed with osteoporosis. Got odd muscle spasms in back and shoulder. Got an annoying duypretrens contractor on index finger giving me jip. But I never give up. I When I make these I print the prayer on fabric using the freezer paper method and then use that as the back of my quilt.

Lizzy, Thank you for your wonderful videos. They bring Joy to my heart! The reading you did tonight is very timely & encouraging to me as I am struggling with having to go for kidney surgery in a couple of weeks, having to take a bus for 10 hrs to get to the hospital. Lizzy, Im so glad I found you again its been awhile my Mama passed away a few years back and sadly I could not watch you because I was so deep in my grief and you are so so much like my mom she was so full of humor, love and just a Colorful personality like you and every time I watched you I would cry. Now that my heart is healing up and at peace and I miss her deeply. Glad I found you again. And now I smile and you bring me joy watching you. Just had to Share with you how you touched me. I am so blessed hearing these words. Although they are bittersweet. I am glad you are healing from the loss of your Mum. I do know that hurt can run deep. My Mom has been gone now for over 30 years and the memories now make me smile and the tears are less but even though I am 71 years of age, there are still those times I need my Mom. There are not as many tears anymore as they have been replaced by smiles. I am grateful for the memories.. Hugs and blessings to you.
