I was inches away from preordering the base OP9 as I hesitated on the Pro preorder... Then I checked on the EE website on their contract offers, and they have some ridiculously good deals for the Oppo Find X3 Pro. Ended up upgrading my contract and paying about the same amount as the OP9 (base) extra for the Find X3 Pro, and I am so excited! It looks so much more of a phone than the OnePlus 9/9 Pro from a UI standpoint.

Would prefer Find X3 Pro but dislike the microscope camera or they should have at least had a 5x periscope telephoto instead of their standard 2x zoom ☹️

I've had a few 888 devices all get a but hot some really hot but I've got x3 pro now and it stays cooler than the rest I've used so it's a good choice for a 888 device

Was planning on getting the Oneplus 9 pro, but atm the oppo is on discount for only a bit more then the oneplus. Should i go for the oppo? Is the camera on the oppo still better even after teh updates on the oneplus? Also saw that the IP68 rating is more correct for the oppo then the oneplus, is this correct? cheers

With all the gripes about the camera results I'd just suggest getting the GCam ports for both phones. Im sure the SD888 can handle image processing like a breeze.

I've found the oppo camera to be bad - I came from a Pixel 3a so the camera was the only expectation I had.. but I have got the wireless charger and it was not cheap so I am keeping it

Both good phones and I would probably pick oppo out of the two. I already own op 7 pro and 8t so I'd like something different,plus the look of the oppo is better than oneplus visually.although OnePlus's stellar black model looks pretty awesome 😍. But saying all that I have the s21 ultra and that beats both of these phones overall.

Good question. To my eye, I can't tell any difference at all. If there is it's very, very small.

@@pocketlintcom Thanks for answering so quickly! I dont like huge waterfall edge displays. I held the Find X3 pro in my hand and i am surprised how subtle the edges are. There's not much screen distortion at all. The Oppo i can touch and feel in a store nearby. The Oneplus i can't, since its only for sale online in my country. The specs of the displays are exactly the same so it wouldnt surprise me if they use exactly the same panels. After all Oppo owns Oneplus. The difference is not always visible on camera so thanks for your respond! Might just get the OP9Pro then.
