I'm on the edge of purchasing the Find X5 Pro, but the Oneplus being like £200 cheaper and having near identical specs has stumped me. I do prefer the design of the Oppo, and obviously there's structural issues with Jerry snapping the Oneplus easily, but the price and the extra side-switch on the Oneplus are bonus points. I really don't know!

I have the find x5 pro and I am stumped on whether to send it back within the 14 day return window. Apart from the gorgeous design and better screen, I am failing to see the value over replacing my Huawei P40 Pro. Other than of course it "officially" supports google apps.

@@drayosstormrage5885 it's pretty much essential to sideload Google services as its pretty useless without that (or at least microG so that notifications work properly if you aren't bothered about Google apps), but since only up to a certain version of Google play services & Google services framework work on the p40, android auto has some issues so that's pretty much why I gave it up. In my opinion though the camera is still leaps and bounds above oppo. Even EMUI12 was rock solid and had some cool features too. Such a shame about the Google fiasco otherside huawei would still be on top!

Under development options. You can select 'show refresh rate' it shows 1 FPS on my x5 pro when the screen is still. Boosted to 120hz when scrolling...

@@yzo0001 just played around with this. Chuck it on full brightness. Then it drops to 1fps on a static screen. It's 5 and 10fps at lower brightness levels. Don't ask me why.

I've always been a Fan of Oneplus and I'm Currently Still Rocking my Oneplus 7T, but I'll be totally honest and say that I now much prefer the Oppo Find X5 Pro's design and the fact it has a IP68 Water & dust rating and better battery life over Oneplus. I just think that Oneplus isn't as innovative with its designs as they once were and since Oppo now own them and they're all under RBk I think The Oppo Find X5 Pro is the way I'll be heading to Upgrade. 👍

The OnePlus 10 pro is ip68 rated 😜 they didn't pay for the certificate except the T-Mobile version but they're ip68

@@27RoDo27 Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I like it as its far more creative than most of its competitors. The Only Other phone I liked was the Google Pixel 6 Pro but the lack of the Quick Charge let it down for me.

got myself an x5 pro with a spigen case (excellent case design). my gf has the 7t also with spigen but sorely is missing the side grips like on the x5 pro. I found the 7t a better phone at the time other than the issues with microphone drivers which could be specific to hers. the find x5 pro is a bit bigger and definitely heavier taking away a fair amount of comfort by comparison. the extra 30hz, 240hz touch sampling rate, fast charging for wired and wireless is very welcome, particularly the color calibration across multiple levels of brightness (this is so underated). though I have noticed faster batter drain as the chipset heats up, which causes me to accidentally have the phone drain below 20% leading to faster capacity decay. I permanently have battery saver on with the other options toggled off so all it hopefully does is downclock so it doesn't heat up during normal use (it worked, just, at half brightness which is adequate). The A14 update has introduced 80% max limit for charging to preserve battery capacity long term. I would like 90% as an option too for those that already have lowered capacity, but that might just confuse people. The 80W charging I've found to also be too much for these batteries.. my dad has an x3 pro so I'll be swapping my 80W brick with his 65W brick which should mitigate heat build up, especially with the spigen case.

@@b.dragos87 Yeah Mines easily Lasting one whole day, and the 80W Supervook Charger only needs a few minutes and it boosts the battery very quickly. I'm not a really heavy user but I do make multiple calls everyday & use Google maps for work every day as I drive for a living, I usually only use 40% - 50% Over a 12hr work day. All I can say is check your settings and maybe turn off anything your not using. Best of luck mate 👍

@@wild_Rider_83 so I set resolution to FHD+ from QHD+, but I keep high refresh rate. And I switched off 5G as well, because where I live on this side of the UK the 5G network is not very good. And like that I have a full day battery, for example, today I removed it from charge at 5AM and I get home by 7PM with 20%. I'm an average user as well, KZbin, social media and no time for games.

@@b.dragos87 I've Only had mine for a couple of weeks and are still getting to know the different settings and seeing what works for me etc. Each user is different but like you I also live in the UK, work between 10-12hrs. Texts, Calls, Social media, Emails and that's about it unless I'm off work. 5G doesn't work very well as there's not enough masts up at the moment to warrant using it, 3G & 4G work just fine for now. Yeah Changing some of the settings will help but it's personal preference, I can't really tell you as it's all down to the individual users phone usage. If you battery is draining that quickly then maybe you have a faulty device? I've Just realised that you mentioned KZbin, that will drain the battery more. Best of luck 👍

@@b.dragos87 i switched from oneplus 7 pro to the 10 pro. Absolute rubbish. Lags, battery drains quick, though does charge quick. I've had it for 6 months and returning it under warranty. Will try the find x5 pro. Oneplus 7pro was their best phone ever. It was their peak. Everyone all over social media still hanging on about it. It was the best phone i ever had. If it wasn't for a slight crack in my screen and my battery being fully used for 2.5 years, i would've carried on with it to my grave. Heck i would've even married it. I'm devastated there is no other phone like it.

I upgraded from X2 pro and kind of regretted it at first. The X2 pro is a machine, especially at 512GB, now I've finally got Color Os 12 update, I switch between the both of them, the zoom on the X2 pro is a helpful feature for me. But the detail of X5 pro lenses are very impressive for close ups of my kids and daily shots (not under any zoom settings however, the zoom is poor)

Hi mate can you please help. I've got a s20 ultra at the moment and my contract is up soon. I'm almost 90% on the oppo but the 10% that's putting me off is I can't find a heavy duty case. I've had the top of the line uag case (£79 at the time) on my s20 ultra for almost two years now and it's been dropped, kicked, thrown by the little one, I've dropped it 100s of times myself and it still looks like new. I'm so confident in the case it dropped out of my pocket at the six nationals down concrete stairs in the stadium I picked it up did not look at it and back in my pocket knowing the case will do its job. Is there's a heavy duty case for the oppo like this? I can only find cases like this for Samsung and iPhone
