I remember reading c+vg gaming mag at school and seeing the screenshots for pocky and Rocky on the SNES. I could not believe my eyes. It was hard to believe it was a SNES game as the graphics were so good and so beautiful. I really must get a copy And a SNES one day for old times sake.

I knew it was going to be censored after I saw Iconoclast's gameplay of the story mode. Kinda funny though because Ame No Uzume is supposed to be sexy. That's part of her mythos.

To be fair, they only censored her portrait in the character select screen. Her in-game sprite still has the jiggly bazongas like in the Japanese version. lol

No clue why it's only on PS4 and Switch, was looking forward to playing this splitscreen over screen share with my mates. Just wondering if this is a case of limited exclusivity or just emulate if you care, regardless good to see an updated version of a good SNES title.

Hard to say what'll happen with this, they put Wild Guns Reloaded on PC, but never ported The Ninja Warriors Once Again. Switch emulation seems good enough to play the games, at least.

Yeah, I tried Jitsu Squad a little bit right when it came out. I got sick at the same time and didn't feel like playing anything for a while, but that's a game I'd like to get back to ASAP. I think there's only one more character with invincibility on their dash.

Really clean run outside of a couple of parts. You absolutely disintegrated Black Mantle holy shit. Is it me or is Rocky extremely bad compared to the other characters?

Rocky does seem like the weakest. His special attacks aren't that great and his blue weapon seems pretty situational (at best). At least his red and green shots are still good.

I think all of them have their merits, and Rocky is pretty underrated. While his stone transformation has niche use, if used correctly can shred through enemies. Also he's the only character in the game that can move horizontally/diagonally without changing his aim while shooting with his special ability. And I don't know if it's a glitch, but if you keep mashing the fire button while in that transformed state (not the stone one), he'll never actually run out. This can turn some bosses and segments into complete jokes and demonstrates why Pocky & Rocky naturally doesn't control like a traditional shoot em up.
