[POCLAIN ACADEMY] Poclain Hydraulics Motor Pin Extraction

This tutorial will show you the correct way to remove a pin from a Poclain Hydraulics motor.
Tooling needed:
• High class threaded rod plus a nut and a washer
• Upper plate with hole
• Base plat with hole
• Tap wrench
• Tap
• Manual pump
• Hollow plunger cylinder (125 kN minimum)
Steps:
1) Identify the pin you need to extract
2) Use the tap to rethread the pinhole - Why? To avoid damaging it during mounting
3) Screw the threaded rod into the pin until you reach the end
4) Unscrew the threaded rod a quarter of a turn - Why? If the rod breaks in the threaded hole it will be easier to remove.
5) Put on the base plate to ensure a plane surface
6) Place the hollow plunger cylinder on top of the base plate
7) Place the cover plate on top of the plunger cylinder
8) Put on the washer and nut to secure the assembly and tighten it
9) Actuate the cylinder with the manual pump
10) You will hear a big bang, that will indicate that you can then disengage the cylinder
11) Lock the manual pump
12) Remove the cover with the washer, the hollow plunger cylinder, and the base plate
13) Ensure the pin is disengaged and unscrew the threaded rod
