I'm falling in love with this camera...AI MODE isn't that aggressive such as on Honor 10 and Honor Note 10 and even in REGULAR MODE it holds correctly the tones and colours. Overall much better than Zenfone 5z that gives darker and cold pictures and movies, it holds the versus with Oneplus 6 in many situations. Sure a lot of people say it's not a flagship camera because of the price. I say this phone could push the notch down for quality devices, like Huawei Y300 made in 2012! I would buy it if it were for ''normal customer' target, as it's' a spin-off of Xiaomi, but we'll see in the future.

Also, isn't it pointless to be capturing slow motion of a scene where there's no action?

Glad it helped you. There is action. The freshner air coming from the vents are rendered in slow motion as opposed to regular speed

Yes you can install google camera in it but it sometimes gives inferior results as compared to the regular stock camera app. Better to use the regular one

The only sub brand from any manufacturer that has introduced the top notch chipset(sd 845)in their sub brand, asking or expecting more isn't just under any scenario. The camera set up isn't best but upto the mark so far the price bracket is concerned. I only feel the build quality is compromised else the phone is phenomenal.
