First time when 7+gen2 was launched I was like "Is this really a mid range proccessor, qualcomm?" Like the specifications for this proccessor are way too good. I guess competition among companies do bring good stuff for the customers. Poco F5 looks like a good phone overall. Ignoring the motherboard issue which is happening, this will be the true successor after Poco F1. The headphone jack, symmetrical bezels makes the phone look good and premium. F5 pro a bit more noticeable bezels compared to this one. This phone looks very promising with specs and looks but need to wait what surprises can we expect from motherboard over period of software updates.

I bought POCO X2 eyeing 5 years in 2020. After 1 Android update, there was no major android update. It is still on Android 11 with security patch of 01-01-2022. Bricking problems are very annoying e.g. volume automatically goes down, phone auto reboots itself in loop. I switched to S23 and having a peace of mind since then.

@@mandarin7753 Good question. Since 2017, I was using Galaxy S8 prior to Poco X2. I was having many problems in S8. Like heating issue (probably due to Exynos processor) and screen going green (permanently). Phone literally became dead for me. I wanted to switch to a reliable phone but didn't wanted to spend a fortune this time. So I eyed upon Poco X2 256 gb. Saw the youtube video of Poco India head Himanshu Tandon that how good poco was. It was providing phones without ads and hardware was undeniably one of the best in the price bracket. I bought poco x2 in 2020 but problems started coming in 2022 only. I switched to S23 due to it's snapdragon 8 gen 2 offering and it gave me a good value in exchanging S8 for Rs 11500 which was lying unattended since 2020.

There are 12 bit displays available in the market, though rare, but they are. But I have only heard of them in professional monitors, never in a mobile, so something IS weird here! 8 bit displays support 16,777,216 colors 10 bit displays support 1,073,741,824 colors and, 12 bit display support 68,719,476,736 colors clearly you can't emulate 68 billion colors from 1 billion, their software might be breaking down the gradient for new hues, but it is not possible as far as I know. My POCO F5 makes a weird clicking sound when I lightly tap or press on the back panel nearby the Macro lens and flash. It seems like a hardware or design flaw I think because it feels hollow below that spot.. I found it out while cleaning the phone before installing. Does your POCO F5 also has that weird clicking sound?

I can see a lot of people having trust issues because of X3 (my friend's x3 dead too btw),but without a doubt poco F1 was in its league of its own,using it for almost 4.5 years and boy oh boy,what a fantastic phone it is* yes!!!!!,no issues with this smarty even after 4.5, years of hell usage(literally my mom do video calls and watch KZbin on it all day with charging on), even my professor has one and he dropped it from 3rd floor,yet it survived somehow (miracle do happen). all in all it's a real big shame that Xiaomi couldn't convert poco into next OnePlus or even better.F5 is sounding really good(thank god they understood hp jack+ir blaster is a requirement),hope it can give proper tribute to F1🐥 fin.....

I have been using it for almost 6 years, only issue I had was battery replacement but that was totally on me as I was charging like all the time. Poco F1 is a phone which can never be surpassed in terms of its performance at that price point. Funny how my poco F1 can record 4k 60fps but not the latest poco F5 lol.

Dear All, I am currently using Pixel 6A since oct 2022 before which i was using Poco F1. Have been using pixel 6a for few months i feel it is slower in all counts. Charging has been slow. At times the phone hangs a bit and heating issue has always remained. I am looking to move back to poco. Would u recommend me to go for poco f5 since i feel its value for money. Although i know camera isnt a plus point in poco f5 but we can always install gcam which would help to capture good images. Kindly suggest as i am planning to purchase it in the sale tomorrow.
