Timothy Schmidt is the sound of the Eagles. His time with Poco is proof enough.

Poco didn't have the same success as the Eagles, Birds, etc but I would argue that their time wasn't any less important or significant.

My favorite version of this lovely song. That two-step rhythym really adds something to it. Plus imagining that the little one that Richie's daughter is carrying is clapping and dancing along with her (3:20)!

Poco started the country-rock Genre back when I was still a teenager. Their harmonies and music has always been a thing of beauty. The Eagles had a habit of stealing bass players from this band (Randy Meisner & Timothy B. Schmit) LOL. They belong in the RORHOF for their pioneering efforts in this genre of music. Thanks for posting BobAbout What. Peace

The Flying Burrito Brothers and The Byrds with their Sweetheart Of The Rodeo album came before Poco, remember.

Dylan is often credited with initiating the country-rock genre; check out "You Ain't Going Nowhere" (the Byrds quickly recorded it). The Byrds and Burritos launced into it full-blast. Thanks to them all.

@@TABarnhart Gram Parson’s was on the Byrds Sweetheart of the Rodeo album. The Byrds will tell you he was a driving force on that album. Yes, he was an important pioneer of this genre.
