Thank you for such an encouraging and positive video. I wish i had found your channel years ago. I used to go in a few shows. Back then i had to figure everything out by trial and error, but it was still fun. At a certain point, my children were at the age that they could safely come too, they would help me carry everything and set up my booth, and then i would give them spending money as the day rolled on, and they would explore the fair and eat a lot of fudge and hot dogs, and buy little trinkets. Lol. But they would always check in with me to see if i needed a break, or help with something, or sit and just be company. It was fun for them and they were encouraging and helpful. It was good for them too. I think that is the family support you spoke of. We have fond memories of those days. When they grew up and left home it wasn’t the same and carrying in and setting up finally got to be too much. I still love creating things and now i wonder if i should go online. It is funny because they still encourage me and even offer to help set something up online. I just may, videos such as the ones you make, help to understand how to do these things. You mentioned rewards, we always ordered a really big Chinese take out dinner on the way home, enough for leftovers the next day, whatever anyone wanted, no matter how good our sales were, we had pulled it off! Something i take away from your talk is maybe i could still do a show, but take less product, maybe if i combined my show with an online store that people could refer to after the show. Customers get tired too, having a second way to view and study my product once they saw it in person, and saw the quality. Hmmm….ideas. 🤔Thank you so much for all your tips and generous sharing!
