EDIT: lool before you guys freak out that im throwing out some "criticism" this isn't directed toward jenna and julien. I don't want to hear from ANY youtuber/celebrity/any wealthy person to encourage to stay inside or think they can feel some kind of empathy towards us. It's just frustrating because we can't just stay at home for different reasons. We have to go out and buy food and try to keep up with peoples panic buying WHILE trying to work and make stable income. This whole thing is just so damn frustrating.

@@als9633 I mean what do you want them to do? Just ignore the pandemic? Not all of their viewers are working people. As JnJ said they are extremely grateful that they can stay at home for most of the time but that doesn't mean that you shoudltn take their advice on staying home. If you can't stay home, you can't stay home. No one can do anything about it. But there are people who could stay home and don't do it for shits and giggles who have to be told this. They're not trying to be condescending but staying home is the main advice right now, from anyone, regardless of their occupation.

I completely appreciate all the people in healthcare, but we also need to recognize all the people still showing up to their retail jobs. I’m in Idaho, and I’m getting rude looks and comments from customers who see me wearing gloves. Retail works are the reason why people are even able to panic buy or to reasonably stock up. So, shout out to my other retail workers who are forced to keep going to work.

Thank you for saying this! It’s so frustrating to be one of the only industries still forced to work and having to work double shifts to cover all the mayhem but no one seems to notice us, it’s so disappointing. What a scary time to work in retail, who would have thought we’d be on the front lines of this thing (no pun intended)

Alberto Cesar it’s like this culture of customer worship that some corporations get up to, like, if u wear gloves some customers are like “are you calling me dirty!?” And like... people need to set their ego aside and know that 1. They can be a carrier with no symptoms and 2. If ur not sick the gloves are for the sick person behind u in line and your ego isn’t worth someones life. But stores would rather that people get sick and die as long as a customer never have that moment where they have to think about someone else for a change.

Agreed. I feel like the worst possible choice for content creators is for them to act all somber and serious during this time because they feel like it's "appropriate" for the situation. If all the youtubers that I watch suddenly start posting serious shit in light of this virus, I'm gonna have to unsubscribe from all of them cause the "appropriate" negative attitude that they feel they should showcase is absolutely the LAST thing I need right now. I get where they're coming from acting like this but it doesnt frustrate me any less.

This could be very important later! -Make a google doc of research topics. Just compile them all together and bookmark the subjects so you have a big glorious document of research and fun -Catch up with friends, old teachers, and family. Or make some more friends online. -Clean! And learn more about cleaning! I am studying to be a school social worker and the I’m worried about the kids I’ve been working with this year, and how school was a place of happiness for them. My school district is operating locations to give out breakfast and lunches to the kids. and utility companies not charging for electricity/wifi for parents so there is hope out there. Social safety nets, the little we have, are so important

Yes, we have to take this pandemic seriously and keep a close eye on the news all around the world. But we also need to protect our sanity by having a familiarity in our lives. For that we need you guys. We need your content. We need to get out of the terrifying reality, give our mind, body and soul a break. Impulsive buying also needs to end. If you're already struggling week to week, you can't afford to impulse buy. Therefore, buying all the toilet paper and stock piling when there isnt a need isn't fair to that person that really is on their last roll or needs to get groceries because they actually have no food. Be considerate and courteous. Alert not anxious, people!!

I’m so annoyed by people stock piling toilet paper. We’re down to 4 rolls in my house and our city & sister city are entirely sold out. Grocery stores are 24 hours but have been shutting down overnight to give the morning shoppers an opportunity to try to get supplies fresh off the trucks bc the stores were getting wiped out by midnight doomsday preppers buying 16 packs. I felt like a genius because I was able to snag 540 baby wipes off amazon for $30 a few days ago just in case I’m not able to buy more toilet paper before we run out. Toilet paper is completely sold out online from what I’ve seen when I bought the baby wipes... it’s insane.

I work for a home care agency and we are sent into people’s homes to help them out with dressing, bathing, housework, pet care, shopping, walking, laundry, etc. I’m a CNA and my clients are 90% elderly. The agency I work for has been giving out “care packages” to all the employees consisting of PPE and a thermometer for each of us. We have been instructed to take our own temperatures before we enter a client’s house and everyone has been using hand sanitizer and washing their hands more often. So far I haven’t been showing any symptoms or signs or have been around anyone who’s been or is currently sick. Everywhere I go I’m offered hand sanitizer, or asked if myself or family need anything, even complete strangers will ask, which is nice because it shows how we tend to come together as a community in times of strife.

HOWEVER we also NEED to be understanding of the fact that this is really hard for everyone to deal with, and we NEED to band together and allow our content creators the time to process, and deal with their content in the way they feel comfortable with.

I am a nursing student in Washington that is currently instructed to go back to clinicals as well as one day of class next week. This is a terrifying circumstance for me, especially since my brother is immunocompromised and I will not be able to come back home for a long time due to my potential exposure. I cant tell you both enough how much I always appreciate your sensitivity to all situations and how you act in them, however...we need you. Both of you. For humor and for your levity. Your bubble video happened right when I returned home and the uptick in cases happened near me and that was one of the only things that made me laugh and gave me some light in my day. Love you both and thank you for always being amazing.

I have watched y’all for so long.... (I think before you were ever a couple) I’ve never commented on any of your videos but I want to thank you so much and tell you how much what you do means to me. Now more than ever. I was panicking earlier and this video not only put all of my confusing feelings into words but you also put me at ease. What y’all are doing is so important. So thank you so so much. Keep it up!!

I reeeeally hope this whole situation teaches everyone how vulnerable we all are, that we are all in this together on this tiny planet with a fragile ecosystem. Perhaps we will all treasure our time with each other and our freedoms a wee bit more. Saying that, y'know what, laughter is the best medicine... not for coronavirus... but for everything else. Love to all y'all and stay safe. x

Yeah please don’t stop uploading. Uploading content isn’t insensitive. It’s generous. Just like the nurses and doctors are providing care, you’re all providing distraction and humour when we need it. If I didn’t have podcasts/videos/TikToks to keep me occupied I would focus on the gloom and become very anxious and sad.

That beginning bit was one I really needed to hear. A couple days ago I came down with a pretty severe cough and sore throat, I'm currently living with my parents since I lost my job to this virus, but when I let my parents know I would be distancing from them even in our house hold they both got very angry with me(I'm a 24 year old independent). It really hurt my heart since my dad is a diabetic and I'm trying to protect him. Thank you for reminding me that we have to play our part to keep our loved ones safe, even if they dont understand that.

Hi jenna and julen. I just really want to say thank you so much for continuing to post content during a scary time like this. School is my only escape from my abusive household, and the quarantine really hurts me every day. Your podcasts and individual content give me something to look forward to every week, and its given me lots of emotional stability. Thank you for talking about the situation too, its scary where I live. Love yall so much, and stay safe!!!

I live just on the other side of the mountains and things are starting to shut down here. It’s disturbing to see how many people are mad that they won’t be able to dine in at their favorite restaurants for 6 weeks. Just because a majority of the population could probably beat it easily doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be taking precautions for those of us who aren’t so fortunate in the immunity department, as well as to minimize their own risk of getting it. Just because you can beat something doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take steps to avoid having to.

I'm in Oregon, and while some people are taking things seriously, like schools shutting down for an extra week on top of spring break, and some concerts/gathering s being postponed or cancelled, a lot are still not taking it seriously. I work in a call center of about 3-400 people, we are TESTING a home office program (just had my test run today) but only the Florida office is requiring quarantine because Oregon just doesn't have a high enough number of cases to warrant it. (as of right now, 39 cases, 1 death, none recorded in my county) Even though our numbers are low, our testing is extremely limited. As of this morning, my county has tested less than 50 people in the last 2 weeks because it's limited to severe cases. But the fact that we boarder Washington and California, both in the top 3 highest rate states, we probably have hundreds of cases going undetected. Not much I can do now, I will continue going to work because I need to pay the bills, but limiting anything outside of the house as much as possible.
