So Dr. Frankenstein goes back on his promise, which angers the monster who decides to seek revenge by killing people close to his creator. Along with his killings, the monster develops more and more humanity through his own guilt (because he kills people, duh) and he decides "sike, i'm out" and he drowns himself. _I think I may have gotten some details wrong but that's the overall reason as to why Frankenstein's monster kills people._

I could have sworn he ate meat at some point after he first got discarded by the doctor. I’ve read the book three times I honestly don’t remember though. I think the food was described as stew but I guess he could have always decided to become a vegetarian later on or ate vegetable stew. I remember the sentence you cite but I thought it meant more so that he refused to personally slaughter lamb not that he wouldn’t eat it. For anyone who hasn’t read it though you should read the book, it’s very good. It’s been about 7 years since I last read it I might read it again soon

Well gorillas are actually omnivores but still mostly eat plants they also eats small bugs like termites and grubs but true they will not eat a human. But they can still be very dangerous and kill a human if threatened.

hey jenna, though many old glass panes are indeed thicker at the bottom, they were mostly produced that way due to older, less precise glassblowing methods. when installing them, folks placed them thick side down for added stability! “amorphous” just refers to the arrangement of molecules in the solid. crystals are the opposite of glass in that way-they have very regular lattice patterns that cause their cool crystal shapes when cut. :)

What a rabbit hole. I took some Jewish studies classes in college and I remembered my teacher mentioning the beard as being an anti-Semitic law. Turns out there was a whole slew of taxes that were imposed on Jewish people or things that were a part of Jewish religious practices, such as eating specific foods (Kosher food). Growing a beard has been a part of the Jewish religion for a long time because it is commanded in the Torah (Jewish bible).

Hey Jenna, just to give you some info on the glass card and the windows topic. Older glass windows are slightly thicker at the bottom because of how the window was made, not because of the glass moving over time. Just like the windows in the house you talked about, the glass pieces used in stained windows were originally balls of molten glass that were spun into what's called a Rondel. The process of making a rondel, and making sheet glass as we know it today are very different. Rondel's start as a blob of glass, get spun on the end on a tube, and are then laid flat and cooled. After cooling, the rondel would then be cut into the desired shapes for the project at hand. The center of the rondel is thicker than the edges, solely by the nature of how it's made; Due to that variation, the thicker center pieces are used at the bottom of installations for stability. Plate glass, like what the windows in your current home are, can be made with more of a settling liquid type approach. For example, in the somewhat recent past, The Corning Institute supplied NASA with a massive lens for a telescope. That lens was made by filling a mold with a type of raw glass, heating it all at once, letting it melt together, and then waiting for it to cool. That's a very simplified explanation of each processes, but I hope this helps to clear up the window thickness bit. Also, I dont know what I was so compelled to actually type all of that, but I did, and there's no turning back now.

Doubt anyone cares or would read this comment, but figured i would share. I am a premed student in undergrad who works and goes to school full time. I don’t have the money to live on campus or by my school, since it is in Chicago where rent is out of this world and wouldn’t allow my dog to live in an apartment, so I live at home, where it takes me 2 hours of a commute just to get to class. Due to recent events all my classes were moved online and honestly I am so grateful for it. I don’t have to stress about getting to class on time, I have more availability for work- I am a behavior technician for children with autism so I have been able to extend my hours to help out my kiddos- I get to go on runs , and I love listening to you guys while I workout or go on my walks with my 3 year old German Shepherd. Hope everyone’s in good spirits and a big thank you to both Jenna and Julian for their lighthearted and silly content 💜🤍❤️
