@@jw5386 Basically Frankenstein's monster wants a mate and Dr. Frankenstein is like "Sure dude" but then he realizes that the Creature and his mate could create a new race of monsters that would be worshipped and could take over the human race (which was the doctor's original plan but he could easily backfire considering the monster's abilities). So Dr. Frankenstein goes back on his promise, which angers the monster who decides to seek revenge by killing people close to his creator. Along with his killings, the monster develops more and more humanity through his own guilt (because he kills people, duh) and he decides "sike, i'm out" and he drowns himself. _I think I may have gotten some details wrong but that's the overall reason as to why Frankenstein's monster kills people._

I could have sworn he ate meat at some point after he first got discarded by the doctor. I’ve read the book three times I honestly don’t remember though. I think the food was described as stew but I guess he could have always decided to become a vegetarian later on or ate vegetable stew. I remember the sentence you cite but I thought it meant more so that he refused to personally slaughter lamb not that he wouldn’t eat it. For anyone who hasn’t read it though you should read the book, it’s very good. It’s been about 7 years since I last read it I might read it again soon

hey jenna, though many old glass panes are indeed thicker at the bottom, they were mostly produced that way due to older, less precise glassblowing methods. when installing them, folks placed them thick side down for added stability! “amorphous” just refers to the arrangement of molecules in the solid. crystals are the opposite of glass in that way-they have very regular lattice patterns that cause their cool crystal shapes when cut. :)

What a rabbit hole. I took some Jewish studies classes in college and I remembered my teacher mentioning the beard as being an anti-Semitic law. Turns out there was a whole slew of taxes that were imposed on Jewish people or things that were a part of Jewish religious practices, such as eating specific foods (Kosher food). Growing a beard has been a part of the Jewish religion for a long time because it is commanded in the Torah (Jewish bible).

I find myself (3 glasses of wine deep 😅) reminiscing effortlessly about who I was and what life was like when these two beautiful people were actively sharing their incredible lives with us and I can’t help from becoming emotional when the reality of where we’re at now sets in; seemingly all at once, yet not at all; all in one swift movement. One thing I know for certain; I have nothing but love and gratitude for not only Jenna & Julien, but every person that stumbles upon this comment from the depths of a bleeding and yearning heart that better days are yet to follow.
