One of my favorite compliments from another Mother was when her son worked at a Pet Store with my son. On nights that he worked over the Dinner hour, I always would take Dinner for my son & sometimes enough for a friend. She called me to not only Thank me for feeding her son, but also that they were ALL home cooked meals. Plus I worked outside the home, but cooked a Dinner every night. Where I am from, not many people actually cook home cooked meals. Except “old school” people like me. Most of the younger generation that I worked with, fed their kids frozen meals or fast food.
@teresamariner42382 жыл бұрын
I'm like you, well balanced, healthy, home cooked meals from scratch! That's the way I cooked for my son and my grabdson!!! Now my son has passed, my grandson in almost 17 living with his Mom, but I still cook from scratch for myself, no frozen stuff unless it's recreating from left overs.

Being a parent myself, I learned (75yrs old) many years ago when the kids don't seem to learn or appreciate what you do to think back when I was a kid. I ask myself,what did I do when I was that age? DJ I am in love with your podcast. I could have been the one talking about my daughter. I have two children boy is the oldest, girl is 3 years younger. They are both in there 30’s now. I used to say I always loved them but when my daughter was a teenager I’m not sure I liked her!!! Yes I was working full time so in hindsight I do think I over compensated. The girls that worked for me always told me they wish I had been there mom. I look back now and can’t believe some of the things I let her do, but she tells me now that she is grateful because she knew I trusted her. You are doing a wonderful job.

Daniel from what I can see you are a proud dad who wants to give his family a happy life. Dejay I can tell you are all about your kids first/ family first, that is a great mom. Houston has a big personality that stands out. He seems very caring and loving towards animals and people. When I see him, I think of him as possibly being a movie star one day. Forget about what people have to say. You have to live your life your way for your family
