I took care of both my Parents (who are now deceased) without the assistance of my Siblings. It tiring, difficult and heartbreaking but I have no regrets. I am by myself during the holidays as I refuse to be further abused by family members. I am glad you are on a good path of health and sharing your love of everything yarn.

Juan, today my brother and his family were here to celebrate Christmas and I was showing my nieces "all the things" that I have crocheted. Crystal's Christmas Tree and Pumpkin Pie and several pumpkins from various other KZbinrs and my brother mentioned he thinks he would like crocheting because he's heard it relieves anxiety (he's a law enforcement officer). I told him yes!!! That is why I crochet, to destress and keep myself from just watching TV and eating. So I gave him a crochet hook and a ball of yarn and showed him how to make a chain and how to turn and begin the next row and I told him, "You need to watch a youtube channel Juan the Yarn Addict so you can see how many men are actually crocheting", so he went to your channel and subscribed. I hope that he continues crocheting. Merry Christmas! 🎄

Another way to do cuffs and necks is for example chain ten or so crochet into back part of the loop, single crochet, it makes the ridges then when long enough, example long enough to fit around wrist or neck , crochet into the ends of one side to crochet the arms or body, creates the ridges, just an idea.

I would to live closer so as to be able to come sign and crochet with your mom. at 76, I no longer get much of a chance to practice ASL. Perhaps when yur mom comes back on, she could do a tutorial and you can sign and do the talking for the directions. Your voice is calming and reassuring at the same time. I am learning new stitches from you. 2024 is a year that I have dedicated to hats for Bumblebee's Mountain Outreach and my 'Somebunnies'. Between Mad Mimi's #Bodhatapalooza and you, I think I can make at least two hats a week. That might be about 100 hats! Looking forward to it. Your spin the wheel hats have given me the courage to try new patterns. These learned changes can also be used for baby blankets too!
