I am avoiding mulch sheets under M9 plant beds,but there are concerns as well, because the grass growth is so fast under the plants. What alternatives do you suggest as a mulch? I am growing daikon radish and mustard this winter,but the real concern is Summer.

Sbse phle to thankyou sir seedlings aur clonal root stocks pr video bnane k liye. Suppose toliye wagera bnana avoid kr k humne soil ko undisturbed rhne diya lekin ap jo different species apne kheton/bageechon me introduce krne ki baat kr rhe ho bina tilling to wo ho nhi payega. Khet me kuch beejne k liye soil ko disturb to krna hi pdega jisse soil me jo networks aur ecosystems hai wo to disturb honge. Sir mai apna question frame nhi kr pa rha lekin i guess ap smjh jaoge k mai kya puchna chahta hu. Suppose humne kuch khoda nhi kuch beeja nhi aur humare kheton me jo grasses, weeds wagera hai unke root system ko disturb na krte huay humne unko kata aur wahi apne khet me as mulch use kr lia. Is it a good practice or not? Aur iske positive and negative bhi btana. Aur mulching kese krni hai? Kya poora khet mulch kr skte hai?

Sir our practice is flood irrigation...if its not good than what precautions we should take while flood irrigatating our orchard...
@pranavrawat
@pranavrawat 5 ай бұрын
Avoid flooding the water near the stem. Rase the mud around the stem like you rase it around the tree.

hello sir i totally appreciate your point on regeneration of farming from chemicals to pure organic form of farming but sir if see on a practical basis don't you think it's quite complex task as the trade off between regen. and organic is quite unstable than there is Antimicrobial resistance AMR and shifting to organics may lead the farmers directly into the clutches of losses and even in worse case plants damage and its a proven fact as seen in Sri Lanka the main cause of there ression was shifting rapidly towards organic farming so sir do you still think there a possibility in it .
@pranavrawat
@pranavrawat 5 ай бұрын
It’s a fair question to ask and it’s the same thing I thought 5 years back when i made the shift. First thing we as a farmer must understand the difference between organic and regenerative farming. Suddenly stopping the chemical in your farm and do nothing won’t help like they did in sri lanka. Plus sri lanka case had nothing to do with chemical or organic they were out of money to buy synthetic chemicals. Secondly our (farmers )thought processes are influenced by big chemical companies for ages as they don’t want us to shift from industrial farming to regenerative. So they come up with the proven useless facts which are not true. If we believe them we have no way around to stop using synthetic chemicals. I stopped using any kind of synthetic fertiliser in year 2019 and in 2021 was the best crop for me in last two decades. In 2023 when heavy synthetic chemicals uses couldn’t resist disease we were able to harvest our apple in September at the lower altitudes just because we managed the nutrition rather looking for back to back systemic fungicides. If chemicals are the ultimate solution then could you please explain why 90% of orchard couldn’t find solution for premature leaf fall after using the best fungicides available. Rather getting confused by surroundings i choose to read one straw revolution, gabe brown , Helen Attowe and subhash Palekar. These are all scientists or regenerative practitioners. I don’t think i would ever fall in the trap of chemicals industrial farming again. And infact i am going to influence lots of fellow farmers to do regenerative by examples. :) Happy farming

i certainly believe the same , yet have some concern will look into the reads you've been through (one straw revolution) you are doing a work worth acknowledging. keep on making this stuff quite useful . 😇

@pranavrawat

Wiod ash saturate soil for 2-3 months. So its always about timing to use wood ask. Must not be applied when we need lots of nutrients pumped into plants.
