40 Celsius? That’s 104 Fahrenheit! I’m not surprised at all. Was it humid out too? I do a lot of mountain biking, and I notice it’s a lot harder on my heart and lungs doing uphill climbs when it’s hot and especially when it’s humid out. Any time I bike after a rainstorm and the water is evaporating off the ground, the air feels thick and it’s much more work, and I’m in pretty good shape. I somewhat doubt it was the bun, and that it was more likely the heat and humidity, but either way, it’s probably best to ditch refined flour breads anyway especially if you are seeing performance changes in the exact same weather conditions. Try oats with fruit for breakfast, it works wonders for me. Quick/rolled oats, oat milk without added oil, blueberries, a banana, and some ground flax seeds. You can probably put all that together quicker than a smoothie with less to cleanup after too.

Metabolic Syndrome is a derangement of the metabolism (loss of homeostasis), abdominal girth increase via visceral fat due to storage of fat in the liver, pancreas and muscle known as, De novo lipogenesis. HDL low, LDL high, borderline high blood pressure equates to insulin resistance thence diabetes et al. Insulin Resistance is created through prolonged elevation of Insulin production. If insulin is maintained at a perpetually high level, the fat stores in the body cannot be accessed meaning more and more weight accumulates and a state of insulin resistance ensues.Instead of measuring blood sugar, it is insulin levels which should be scrutinised because it is insulin being overloaded by processed food which begins all the risks of one's health being horribly compromised. IR and Diabetes cannot be treated with high carb, low fat diets and insulin injections. The only way to reverse IR and Diabetes is through a high fat moderate protein whole food diet and fasting. The way around this pandemic of chronic disease is the rejection of sugar/fructose, vegetable oils, grain flour and chemical additives. Stop buying these poisons. Whole food is what our ancestors ate and they rarely saw these maladies. When it is now documented pre-teenage children in this day and age develop NAFLD as a result of the western industrial diet, it's time to consider holding food industry profiteers to account. The last 50 years of health degeneration points directly at the likes of Ancel Keys and the monstrosity created by said manufactured substance industries.

Saturated fat is in every oil and fat on the planet, whether it's a nut a fruit or an animal. Coconut oil has 95% saturated fat. Lard has 45% saturated fat. You can't make a judgement on that. We're made of animal products. The main danger is factory made foods and oils. The ones that are made from seeds are dangerous. Coconut and olive oil are fine. So are animal fats. There was a comment that I received that implied that drinking bottled spring water is better for one's heath than distilled water. I disagree 100% that drinking spring water, especially store bought bottled so-called spring water is better for one’s health. I know the source of my homemade distilled water and it is pure, uncontaminated, and has not been stored in plastic bottles in some hot warehouse. Drinking any water that’s been stored in plastic bottles where the bottles have been exposed to a hot environment, for who knows how long, maybe years, is unhealthy due to the plastic leaching into the water regardless of the type of plastic. Another problem with bottled spring water is that the consumer does not know the true source or the purity of the water. Water distillation removes waterborne biological contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, organic and inorganic chemicals, heavy metals, volatile gases, cysts and other contaminants. Distilled water contains virtually no solids, minerals or trace elements. It is clean, natural and healthy. Many companies put a percentage, up to 100%, of tap water in the bottles and label it spring water or purified water. Even if the water is 100% spring water, how can the consumer tell weather it’s contaminated with toxins or what the water picked up from the ground, traveling for miles, before it was bottled. Unfortunately we live in a toxic contaminated environment. Another problem with spring water, as well as city tap water, is that there is too much rock based calcium and magnesium in the water for healthy consumption. Consuming rock based calcium and magnesium does more harm to the body than good. Spring water, as well as city tap water supplies rock based calcium and magnesium instead of PLANT BASED calcium and magnesium. Plant based calcium and magnesium, like what is supplied in food, is porous and complex rather than solid like a rock. Plant based calcium and magnesium live as part of a whole matrix of minerals organized in a natural honeycomb structure. Under a microscope, the structure actually looks a bit like bone structure. Plant-based calcium and magnesium is a whole food the body can easily recognize and use. I’ll stay on my course of distilled water and uncontaminated macro and trace mineral supplementation for the rest of my healthy life.

Well he answered the question of whether salt intake by itself is harmful, but it still leaves the question of how much is too much. Are the people who are prescribed salt by their doctors for serious hypotension issues (like POTs) being harmed, where their intake is around 3500 mg to 5000 mg per day, or is there a higher point at which the harm starts?
@andreawisner73582 жыл бұрын
The only suggestion in this study www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5431073/ as to what qualifies as a high sodium diet is "9 g" per day (footnote to a different study). That's 9000 MG! They reduced by 3 g for that study, so to 6000 mg, and their arteries saw a benefit. So this study does not suggest zero added salt. Also, the linked study is a study of "normotensive" people for the benefit of hypertensive people. There was no involvement of hypotensive people. The footnote study was a study of obese hypertensive people.
