Not shooting or technique related, but I would really appreciate a video on the process of attending a TAC event. Like go through everything that happens from registration, to what to expect and what to do when you arrive, if you can go solo or if you'll be forced into a group like in golf, ect. I really want to hit up a TAC event this summer but being from Canada and having to drive at minimum 8-10 hours as well as crossing border customs and such, I'd really like to be as prepared as possible.

Video Suggestion: tying in a peep on a new string, how do you get it to properly align? Do you put a twist in the string if so do you do the top or bottom, what about peep tuners, or is there a way to tie it in place to twist it one way more. What its the best way that will last? Keep the videos coming, you put out a lot of great content. Thank you

follow through…I see a lot of new shooters who act like the shot is over as soon as they release the string…or some try to move the bow out of the way so they can watch their arrow fly…when they learn to “pose like a statue” until the arrow hits the target they often noticeably shrink their groups…more common to be an issue with traditional archery equipment but applicable for compound shooters too

Ok it’s great that you mention draw length first. Yes it’s very important. But it’s every bit as important to get that loop length correct. Most people and shops just tie a loop on to a particular length and call it good. Draw length gets the string to your face or tip of your nose but the loop length is what allows the perfect anchor and getting your elbow behind the arrow. This proper alignment of the elbow behind the arrow makes everything easier. I see way too many people with short loops and then they shoot with a chicken wing. Cant progress to a higher level like that. All pros set the loop to give perfect alignment. So should beginners. And it doesn’t cost any more to get it right. Most shops won’t mention it or even bother to check. Here’s your loop go shoot. Another super important thing that needs done to every new bow is finding where your loop needs to be so your bow aims best. Most will hold on center much easier with the arrow center 1/4 to 3/8 above center of Berger hole. I know these two things might be hard for beginners to grasp but both are so important to get the most from your bow. Shops need to spill the beans more. Set the beginning shooter up for success from the start. Both shops I shoot at have had pro shooters. Neither gave tips on how to get better. Took me a long time to fully understand these things. Shops need to do better. I teach these things and people always say the exact same thing. Why did my shop I spent all that money at never tell me this. I don’t know why. But they don’t.

Great job! Along with this type of video I think you should discuss the proper way to implement changes in equipment or shot processes, a lot of people don’t grasp how to implement changes and the effects it can cause both good and bad. Separate from this kind of video you should do a review of bows with lots of tuning abilities versus those that have none and compare which ones will maintain their tune better, I would like to be proven wrong that bows with more tuning abilities tend to lose their tune easier than those with none.

I’ve been shooting for years, I have a light, canted grip, I don’t grab at it when it releases, I’ve videoed myself shooting to find out, I’ve watched a ton of videos and do everything they say; still… inconsistent tears and inconsistent groups.

Maybe have a sight on target showing what your pin movement will do as your hold starts going to shit. Or what your specific movement looks like. My biggest battle learning how to shoot was figuring out how to speed up my shot without punching. When I first started to shoot controlled shots it took 20~ sec. For the shot to break and it was brutal. Should have let down a lot more than I did.

Something I'm struggling to get my head around is the amount of pressure I need as a benchmark for accurate shots when I draw back, hit the back wall and continue pulling. What I mean by that is how hard should I be pulling in each direction to execute a good break that is accurate. How should your shoulders be acting? What are the signs of correct pressure and a well executed break? It's not that I can't get there, its that it takes time and I want to recognize and replicate it. Thanks MFJJ!
