JJ thanks for passing on the hunting legacy to the next several generations. Your videos are so helpfully and educational.

Can’t wait for the tuning videos. I am really enjoying the content.

You don't have to change your videos, your delivery and way of explaining processes makes it pretty easy to understand what is taking place. As I am not an archer nor am I experienced enough to be proficient in bow use/set up i find your videos extremely easy to follow. Just a white tail hunter who wanted a longer season in more hospitable weather so I picked up an bow, keep the videos coming as they are extremely helpful. Next just may be an economical target bow for year round practice with a more "forgiving" draw weight to lengthen those practice sessions!

I always look forward to these bow “builds,” but I think adding to the video how many shots it takes to get a bullet hole through paper and a grouping size at any yardage, just to have some data on which bow tuned easier or grouped better. Not just slapping the parts on and calling that a bow build. There’s a lot of people who want to know the minutia of this bow likes to tune nock high a bit, or that bow tends to need to be shimmed to the left from the factory. Thanks for all the great content! Always look forward to a podium upload.

I kinda agree. Learned everything from this guy. My builds go smooth putting everything on, leveling, tying soft knots, dloops, timing. But when it comes to tuning, it takes me forever. Never just a one shot bullet hole. I always have to tweak something.

Love your videos very informative considering I am very new to the BowTech kind of world of bows. It’s funny the exact same set up you are using on the elite ethos is exact same set up that my mate is running in Australia.

Awesome build! Can’t wait to buy this bow. Still learning on my bear adapt plus bow but narrowed it down to Mathew’s or Ethos! Can’t wait to get good enough for one of these bows. You are awesome MFJJ!

Great video, all things archery are worthy of a watch. I did something similar last year, had an Elite Kure, Bear Divergent EKO, Hoyt RX5, and Bowtech SR350. Was fun getting mess with all four brands, and see which fit best. Loved the Elite draw, but ultimately, I am a Bowtech shooter.

Great video! I absolutely LOVED my Ethos other than the fact that it was really heavy (bad shoulders) and the grip angle. Ultimately I got rid of it because of the grip angle not being comfortable and there not being an aftermarket solution to give it some angle.

Big fan of this bow, they look great. You know what would make that Hamskea bracket next level? One of the issues with those square head screws is they tend to eat into the bracket, and so a precut one piece "washer" would be kinda nice.

Great video! That is almost identical to my set up which I love

I use Cir-Cut D-loop material, because it melts a nice knob, and doesn't go up in flames as easily.

It will be interesting to see how all these bows end up being tested to choose a winner. After that blindfolded draw cycle test, the plot thickens

If you don't mind me dropping a new bow hunter video suggestion. Do you mind doing a bow maintenance video please? Last year was my first bow hunting season. Do you just rub string wax and call it good? Do you do it more often during certain times? Do you do other things to maintain your bow through the year? Sorry if this is a dumb question but you have helped a lot already.
@MrHunter27847 ай бұрын
I’ve asked before but I’ll ask again, what would you consider to be the best way to set your center shot or as I call it setting the bow to zero. There are a lot of videos showing setting the rest to find the nock location. I would think finding the center of the string and making sure the cams are in time and then cinch your D loop into position and then set your arrow rest off the D loop. I believe these steps would be more precise with less tuning issues. Example, if the D loop is not centered you will pull harder on one cam more so than the other throwing the cams out of time. Or I’ll see people checking timing in a draw board and never check to see if the nock point is centered which can throw timing off. Please set the record straight. Thanks! really appreciate your effort and time

I’m interested to watch the tuning system of this bow in action. Wish Mathew’s would develop a n easier and more refined tuning system than the top hats…just a pain to have to press the bow, remove the axles, remove and install top hats, replace the axles, just to find out you have to do it all over again!

Good on you for choosing the CBE sight. Not the most expensive headline grabbing sight but it works great. I got CBE torx stabilizers too foe my mathews has been a good setup. What is the max DL on the ethos?

Can you do an update on the ripcord ratchet review and if you have put it thru its paces, durability and whether youd choose that over a Hamskea or QAD…commented couple times before on this. Just curious because it seemed to have some really good features and adjustments

Thank you as always for your videos. I can’t even begin to express how much I have learned from them. I do have a question about this series of bow builds you are doing. Are you using the stock as out of the box bow strings, or are you using a new fresh set of custom strings and cables?
@EvolvedX697 ай бұрын
To me it looks like out of the box strings. I think he is testing how we all would get one from the manufacturer

Do you apply wax to the mounting screws for the sight, arrow rest and quiver to keep them from vibrating out? Would you recommend it?
@seantimmerman23603 ай бұрын
Did you do this tuning video for that bow? If you did film it please just drop the thing cause I need to learn the right way to tune a elite.

Does that CBE have its own dove tail mount bracket you can use like the black golds used to have before the whole integrated sight came about with mathews and others? Was wondering for my Hoyt RX-1 if i decide to not get a new bow this upcoming season and run the RX-1 with new strings and cables i already have from Catfish Customs
