Sry if its a stupid question, but cant you get poison, bleeding or burn through the shield, and if you can wont it kill you since you have 1hp?

All those effects count as chaos dmg

Burn still applies as DoT and will shred your ES if you don't have resistance enough. Poison will be ignore from the DoT perspective, but you will take damage from poisoned projectiles, so standing in poisoned pools won't affect you but attacks will.

Can you keep written version of your previous build as a separate thing on mobalytics, please? While CI with rarity stacking is definitely most meta and most defensive version of the build, it's REALLY EXPENSIVE and, probably, it's going to be nerfed in the next patches (rarity 100% going to be nerfed, as almost the same thing happened in poe 1).

everything you said is true but i HIGHLY suspect the interaction between the ring and herald of ice to be nerfed as well. the amount of shatter is stronger than unnerfed explodychests in poe1, it's straight up dumb.

Awesome guide! However, I'm currently stuck at about 250 cold damage on Storm Wave with Polcirkeln, I am the blizzard and essence of the mountain. Would you recommend to respec into the % cold damage and/or % elemental nodes on passive tree? Or try to get it from gear?

@@BartMerkx I run a staff with some cold damage on it. It helps get the shatters started until you can find something with enough raw physical damage to just make it happen

@ZombieOfun My staff has I think about 450 ish physical dps, I trigger the shatters most of the time but sometimes it takes more than one hit. I'll see if I can find a staff that has a bit of cold damage, maybe that will help. Thanks for the tip.

Been trying to follow the build, so confused by charged staff. It never proxs, or is it an automatic thing? I do get a 3 second buff? Is that the charge staff working. I am currently level 60.

Charged staff is up only for bosses. 3 seconds is innervate.

there is some passive skill that will brick herald. make sure you use the right ones

So Im using all the items etc with lvl 75 so I dont have every talent point yet and Im getting rekt on T4 maps with this. I rarely freeze anybody and since I cannot drink any flasks Im Fdd up what the heck is this

@@fluxx7217 Try to get a staff with inherent cold or cold modifiers on other pieces of armor. It will help proc shatters with polcerkeln until you can level and get high enough raw damage to proc the frost off just the skill tree. Crits also greatly help at getting the shatter party started if you have the crit ascension. Jewels with crit chance help. Why can't you drink flasks? There's a skill on the talent tree that makes health flasks instead restore energy shield

going full ES on body armour is a bad idea. get one with 900 evasion and around 300 es. then anoint the node that doubles your chest armor evasion and get the node that provide ES based on evasion on your armor. i have 79% evasion with 6k es. feels really tanky

i've noticed the same thing as i've iterated on the last video of the build. it is therefore also recommended to take the note so you can pot your eshield if you chose to remain with life and not go CI. i also found +4 gems on staff to be highly unneccessary for any content currently in the game. any good staff will do, i have a 14.5 basecrit with 650 dps and it's just so much easier on mana drain. dps is still more than enough singletarget, and your storm wave doesn't need the levels for shatter anyway.

Trump character here, Enjoy the loot , had I watched you're build guides earlier I may have stayed playing a bit longer, I just respeced a few too many times for my enjoyment , looking forward to coming back perhaps after early access is over. Hopefully by then the game becomes more friendly to respecing characters, with so much build diversity, GGG really should make it easier for players to try new things out & respect their time investment, unfortunately for me it was just to frustrating to contiune.
