Dam man, this game is so deep. Just when I think I'm "getting it" I run into maps and get insta killed back to back and rage quit. So disheartening and yet I'm always drawn to it. Dam you GGG!

Pro tip, you can use Mjolner in your main hand to level gems as poisonous concoction. Just get Astramentis or Atziri's Foible + some random str/int gear equip it, then take the gear off. You can still use poisonous concoction since you won't have the stats to use Mjolner but the socketed gems still gain XP. Also awesome to see someone else appreciate the Aggressive Bastion annoit. SO incredibly powerful for mapping.

I don't need an unusable main hand weapon to level gems. I need it to stop myself dying. It happened to me numerous times that I picked up a RGB 1H weapon to get a Chromatic and it turned off my Poisonous Concoction. Then I have to open my inventory and drop it while trying to avoid dying. After I got enough Str to run all my gems like Molten Shell, I went to the various vendors from earlier acts, found a Str weapon that needed just a bit more Str than I had, equipped a Heavy Belt to equip the weapon, then swapped back to my Leather Belt to disable the weapon. Is there a reason you use uniques like Mjolnir and Astramentis? I'm enjoying the build, progress is really smooth. And that was with me forgetting about the Health flask and realising - at level 65 - that I had a Seething life flask equipped in my number 1 flask slot. FML, stupidity can be a burden at times. :D

@@porous9 You can disable Auto-Equip in the options under the 'Game' tab. That solves the issue with picking up 1H weapons. I just recommended Astramentis because it gives a lot of strength and intelligence to equip Mjolner which requires ~400 strength and ~300 intelligence. You could use any gear to do it, you don't need Astramentis, just makes it easier. You can also use Atziri's Foible which reduces item requirements. Once you equip Mjolner you can put on your normal gear.

I join the game at 3.18, I choose skeleton mage necro as starter. at lv 1-80 she kill everthing on map. but when you begin to spend points on altas passive tree, especially to enhance harbenjer and essence, it become much more fetal, even with 6000+ life, 80%all resist, 75% block everything, I still be killed by nothing come from nowhere. the biggest problem of this game is it didn't provide combat log, you never know what kill you and can not avoid next time

Have to be more alert. Map rares and league mech rares are totally different. Also, don't try to kill absolutely everything. If you see an essence trapped beast or possessed archnem, move along, it's risky and not worth the time. Mapping deaths are most often due to slowing down too much. Have to keep moving. Need decent dps to be able to do that.

Another tip: this league many of the Archnemesis mobs cast some damaging stuff on the ground or when dying, so pay attention to that as well.

I am playing Flicker Strike with 20k evasion and 100% avoid ailments but I still die on like every map. Is it because of this league mod?

@@duccady Pay attention to stuff like caustic ground or burning ground. Also, even with high evasion, if you get hit without any armour you will die since there is no further reduction. Abberath Pantheon with Mephod's soul collected will help you with Burning Ground. It can be captured on Summit map

Playstyle and doorways are my only 2 "complaints." Very used to casters, it's been a struggle to acclimate. Oh, also still getting a handle on when to move on & let the DOT run.

This build has a lot of management .. fun but more management then My lazy zombie build having butt is used to … hurts my hand lol. I will probably go back once I can get curse on hit gloves etc. with flasks up constantly extra life flask this build is super tanky tho

the Armor stat on that screen doesnt mean shit, till you get to around 50k+, since you need 45x the armor of the damage received to block 90% of it

Btw he doesn't say it explicitly but cast when damage looks to need to be below level 4 or your withering step WILL be cast on hit which sucks balls.

For molten shell, gem levels only scale bonus armor and reflected damage, not the amount of shield. In most cases you probably only want a lvl 1cwdt for more frequent procs and like lvl 10 molten shell

Check the level of precision and make sure you have all the masteries that give you increased reservation efficiency for specific auras, such a grace.

Losing xp on death has to be the dumbest decision they've made. Do they really think this adds to the gameplay? I don't get much time to play so when I die I lose days worth of play time. I gave ggg $1000 in my first 2 months playing and now I regret it. They don't deserve my money for implementing this stupid mechanic
