I tried the build with just a normal dd gem and surprisingly it still works quite well. I also have a new video using hexblast which can scale a lot better with more currency invested.

Bino's is a must unfortunately, it's a core part of the build and you will do like 1/3 of the damage you are supposed to do against bosses if you don't use it. If you still want to do phantasmal cremation you can do a budget version with dialla's malefaction and put the cremation in a green socket.

Bisco's leach is mostly for the 100% damage at max stacks? Tough layout and not too tanky when some of those things try to snipe you. How important is asenath's?

Bisco's leash is mostly just for the movespeed, you can use something else if you need resists etc. Asenath's is there for temp chains on hit, but you can use other gloves with the corruption as well.

I leveled with poison concoction: maxroll.gg/poe/build-guides/poison-blade-vortex-occultist-league-starter-guide/leveling You can deviate more or less from it, depending on how many regrets you are willing to spend, but all in all it took me around 40 I believe. To get initial budget to transition into poison dd I would recommend buying and farming normal blight maps with 2x amber + a reward oil, since you can clear them with only towers. The layouts don't matter, I cleared over 50 ravaged maps with this build and haven't failed any.

hi, i like this buiild, i have one question though. how did you farm all the currency with poison concoction before swapping to DD? i'm asking because 6link dendrobate day 1-3 is 500c, thanks in advance subbed for further updates

I suggest running normal blighted maps with 2x amber + a reward oil, ideally tier 14+, you can farm those maps using only towers. 5 link dendrobate is all you need really, in fact even 4 link is probably good enough in a pinch.

I've thought about it and suspect it could work, but I haven't gotten around trying it. The profane bloom pops are really strong though and clear with just master toxicist or binos is much weaker. PF could solve some weak spots of the build with flasks, such as low attack/cast speed and movespeed but clear wise occultist should be the queen. Also not sure about wither with PF, I think it would be pretty hard to apply since we only hit once per pack with DD more or less. If you do try the build with PF let me know, I'm interested how it turns out.

Nice blight build! I think Anomalous Detonate Dead is a core skill, should I use Poisonous Concoction until I get it? Is Anomalous Detonate Dead tradeable on Day 1 of the League?

Yes, I will use pconc in normal blighted maps until I get all the items for DD. I'm not sure about the availability of anomalous dd day 1 but worst case we can make our own with prime regrading lens (1/3 chance from normal to anomalous).

how does this differ from the seemingly more popular elementalist dd ? why did you go this route?

I haven't played elementalist dd myself, but I believe this version is stronger on a smaller budget due to us being able to stack multiple big poisons with bino's, while with ignite you can only have one stack active. This means that the more mobs you can get around the boss the more damage you will do. The build exploits high mob density of ravaged maps very well making it easy to dot cap the bosses.

My upgrades were 6link chest, better base helm and boots, phys taken as on helm, fitting in discipline with enlighten, capping spell suppress and getting a timeless jewel with phys taken as fire and endurance charges on kill. If you want to invest even more I would suggest a different build that can also do other content, for example phantasmal cremation.

I've though about it but I believe this build would be quite hard to scale. I've tried a version with 2x 5 passive voices so you can slot in 6x low tolerance and it felt pretty good. But outside of that it's quite hard to scale the damage even more, it's more of a cheese build made specifically for blight ravaged maps. I would suggest transitiong into phantasmal cremation when you have enough currency, it's a strong build that you can also use for bossing and simulacrums: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3250993. I league started it this league but it would've gone a lot smoother if I started with poison DD until I had enough currency to transition into it.

Got interested in this build and gave it a try. Blight-ravanged closing goes great, but dd is not very handy and bad enough for normal mapping. I decided to try to change my main skil and..... it worked! Overall, I think it doesn't matter what to do the main damage with, as long as I have bino + explode, it works.

I constantly update my loot filter throughout the league, removing stuff that I find not worth picking up anymore. I would suggest starting with either very strict or uber strict on FilterBlade and adjusting it yourself to your needs.

Is there some secret to killing bosses with this? I don't really kill blight-ravaged ones fast enough with this build...actually using 5 low tolerances too

For bosses you want a few enemies around them and they should die fairly easily from profane bloom procs and bino's poison spread. It's fairly easy to do this if you use stun 3 + freeze 3 + empower 3 tower combo. It rarely happens but once in every few maps a boss will stay alive after the map is mostly completed, in this case a vaal breach gem can help to spawn some enemies and you can also build some lvl 4 minion towers with flying upgrade for some extra damage since our single target dps is pretty low.

@@Thrym428 sorry youtube hid the comment for some reason... Teal is very good not just for profit (the runs are much shorter so best div/h strats should always have 3x teal) but it also works out great for the build because the monsters spawn faster, meaning it's easier to get a large group of them together which makes it much easier to clear with profane bloom pops and poison spreads. Amber is not needed since we should always have enough money to build the lvl 3 empower+freeze+stun combo on each choke point. For other oils the best rewards currently seem to come from 1x gold, 3x silver and 2x opal.

Caster mastery on tree (25% chance to open nearby chests when you cast a spell). It's a very nice time saver especially if you use silver oils since there are a lot more chests.
