My humble opinion: Easily the best designed Uber Boss fight is Maven. The fight is fair at all times. The arena is big enough and nicely circular. The player has 100% control over where to drop the degen grounds. Outside of failing the memory game there is no one shot mechanic, unless you are super duper squishy and even than, everything is fairly reasonably dodgable. However, at the same time, Mavens attacks, especially "Cascade of Pain" are threatening enough that you do wanna dodge it. Memory game is simple if you keep cool, the additional bosses that spawn during that phase are a non issue for most builds I imagine. I'd say, if you are good at normal Maven, you shouldn't struggle at Uber Maven too much unless your damage is way underpowered. Everything in this fight works well, no crazy overlap of insta death mechanics, good and fair skill (dodge and concentration) checks, good arena, no specific build required. The fight is easily the best of them all. The worst fight is Sirus, hands down. Not even close. Exarch only has the ball phase which is dumb, The whole Sirus fight is an absolute mess and the excact opposite of the Maven fight. 1. Large ass arena (basically just a large "open" field) 2. but not really open because 50% of your screen is death zone by default. 3. Constant invulnarbility phases and dps downtime 4. constant teleporting of the boss to hard to reach places (especially during second phase as melee), 5. extreme overtuned one shot mechanics that you have to heavily build into defending, 6. escalalting amount of degen pools, storms and all sorts of degen mechanics that make doding anything near impossible without taking heavy damage - therefore EXTREME rng heavy fight with very little actual player skill checks involved. 7. Horrible arena design, especially if you die and wanna reenter. The only boss that half bricks your attempts when you die just because it is so difficult to even get to a proper position to fight him again. Just an absolute rage inducing fight unless you are heavily building into defences but thats hardly the definition of a good boss fight (no one ever said: hey that was a good endboss, because I was able to face tank everything it threw at me in any video game ever). Its a game, people wanna succeed at a tactic, a pattern, a skill check and not brute force it. That is the definition of Sirus, brute force it or die. Just bad. My ranking: 1. Uber Maven (very good) 2. Uber Shaper (good) 3. Uber Uber Elder (good) 4. Uber Cortex (solid) 5. Uber Eater of worlds (bad) 6. Uber Searing Exarch (very bad) 7. Uber Sirus (bullshit fight)

Maven is stupid, her anti regen debuff is the biggest "fuck you" ever. If you get debuffed then every projectile of hers becomes a one shot. Its not fun, you gotta squeeze into the gap of those lazors and they move, your brain gets dizzy. The arena is small so the degen is extremely deadly. If you missplace 1 ball the entire fight is failed. Memory game is unfun too, no one wants to do a memory game in poe... we just want to hit stuff. Uber Sirus is also a big "fuck you", but its more doable due to the audio cues. Once you master those then you can stand still outside of degen pools and keep hitting him. Then when you hear the sound you dash. My problem with it is the maze which requires good movement speed and people might have slow builds. The quicksilver wont always save you, you can get unlucky ways out that are very far away. I randomly die in one of the mazes because they spawn too far + the arena has low visual clarity. And speaking of low visual clarity.. the degen puddles look weird, sometimes you think that you are not inside it and you start degening. Uber shaper and uber uber elder are not real fights, they are literally tutorial. Uber eater is tutorial as well. Uber exarch is actually easy, the only problem is the ball phase. No one wants to dodge so many balls at once, this is not guitar hero. You can cheat and use frost walls, but even then its still trash. If this boss didnt have this phase would of been easy. Uber cortex is both too easy or broken, I got less dmg taken from crits and 80% ele res, which made me deal zdps. The entire arena was flooded with puddles. It was horrible, but the next 5 or so were free (even with additional proj or aoe). So I would say Maven is a horribly designed fight for most builds with recovery and generally a bad design for poe. Sirus is horrible due to visual clarity and extreme degen, but saved by voice cues. These are my hardest, I downed Sirus 5 times now once I learned to stand still and only move in the right moment. But its still hard and I die at least 2 times. Last time I did it was deathless but I kinda got lucky 😂

Uber Searing Exarch is the only one that I mechanically struggle with. The ball phase in the second half is just insane. So I usually just slap on bloodnotch, it trivializes the ball phase as long as you have enough HP to not get one shot by a ball. This is not a mechanical thing but bloodnotch and lethe shade are incredible against most ubers. Bloodnotch means you uber shaper only has a slam and beam to worry you, maven's cascade of pain is trivialized as well, as is Sirus' die beams except in the last phase.

Low-quality generic divs/hr vids: 100k+ views in 2 days. High-quality Uber boss mechanics guide with demonstrations of every boss move: 20k views over the course of 7 months. People would rather spend hundreds of hours running mind-numbing div/hr starts than actually learning the mechanics. And little do they know that once they master these mechanics, the budget they need to beat everything in the game becomes considerably lower to a point that they'll never even need to FOMO over all those div/hr starts. Quite pathetic if you ask me.
