UPDATE: the price of some of the investment costs have spiked really hard after releasing this video, despite having showcased a similar setup a week ago. The Bloodlines scarab was giga tapped by price fixers, but has since come back down to a more reasonable cost. More surprisingly though, the Maven chisels for Currency and Scarabs have each gone up in price by 50% or so in that same time. Because this is a pretty quick in-and-out farm, I'd suggest just rolling the maps a little better and using regular chisels. This should dramatically reduce the costs overall.

@@actiQ It was never 45c. It was half a divine for the last 10 days. Wealthy Exile may have claimed it but the actual price especially in bulk was that, which I accounted for in the video. But now it's about 0.9div which is a little rough but not awful.

I've been using wisps scarabs for about 4 weeks now (farming legion) and I've always managed to buy them at prices between 2-3 chaos (until last week). But today when I went to prepare for a session of 100 maps, I couldn't buy them for less than 12 per divine, that is more than 3x the price as before.

So I complete ~100 maps with this strat and have some important thing for people who not target farming mirrors/hinekoras and just want descent div/h count. More currency over more scarabs is a mistake. Chance to drop t1 currency (regardless of price div/ex/annul/valdo) on map with “250+ more currency” MUCH lower than chance to drop t0 scarab on map with just 100+ more scarabs. So maps like “50/250 scarabs/currency” worse than 100/100 or 150/50. So if you not planning to run 1000+ maps target farming mirror, scarabs > currency.

I'm glad the scarabs are returning from the stratosphere in price because this strategy is a ton of fun. I cannot believe I went all this time without thinking to use maven's chisels to bring up the lowest or missing roll on my T17s. It seems so obvious in hindsight. Once I started rolling on the missing roll (scarabs or currency), or juicing up pack size on double scarab/currency rolls, I noticed a huge improvement in my average loot. After testing result: I ran a total of 5 maps and no, ty but no ty, im quitting this asap. Wisp is giga crazy of a difficulty increase specifically on boss. The map overall is easy doable but my close to 900Div Explo Penance Brand cant deal with that boss. People gonna be "hehe xd 900 div and cant clear a t17" but hey, my Brand is a pure mapper, got the damage but I die with one touch of whatever the boss throws at me, no time to press flask or anything, if she looks at me im dead. Could have been a good farm but even now with the prices going up again I dont see myself doing this, ty for sharing tho.

@@Eqnotalent I am doing what Snoo said and rolling maps for at least 3 or 4 Tier 17 mods so that there's 2 of 3 of: Big Packsize, Big Currency, and Big Scarabs. For the last roll that the map doesn't have, im putting that type of chisel on to make the map 3/3 every time (still making sure the map is bare minimum 50% Packsize). I've done about 30-40 map sample size and honestly drop divines or tink scarabs in nearly every single one so I'm gonna keep sending it even if these maps get pricey, just the boss frags and couple big drops per map put you in pure profit. i'm on a low sample size so far, around 10 maps done, but up until now i haven't made any profit... i'm trying to roll atleast +150-200 curr+scarabs and chisel the size that's the lowest with either curr and scarabs, but man is it tough. Nothing seems to drop. I can tell wisps are good cause i had some 8k+ wisp maps when i was doing other strats in t17 and the drops from the monsters were really good, maybe that's the saving grace for this strat as well, but so far haven't seen a wildwood... guess i'll keep doing harbis in t16s, so far that has been my best div/h strat

I wonder what happens if you put on a gull and use evolving shrine + nemesis scarab instead of wisps for all those magic monsters to have an 11% chance to become rare with 2 extra mods, of course with the 50% inc scarabs per rare mod on the atlas tree. maybe even with blunderbore if you can fit it somehow for 15% chance instead.

I must be doing something wrong, because this has not netted me any real currency in 10 or so maps I've run. I've dropped one div, couple of valdo's and a few scarabs, but overall I am less than break even. The only thing I think I might be doing wrong is rolling the maps. Is 300% increased currency and 100% increased scarabs with 37 pack size good or do I always need to aim for huge pack sizes even if the currency and scarab rolls are lower?

That type of map is definitely good enough. While the initial Strat video didn’t seem to affect the investment costs, this one has. The bloodlines scarab and maven chisels spiked pretty hard. I’ve considered just dropping the maven chisels, in fact.

I wanted to make mention of your comment on players "experiencing" the end-game. I feel like Im in between new player and wanting to make that next step. I really enjoy the game and play it frequently, but I dont know what to look for in a build that will get me into say farming tier 17s or uber boss farming. I do a league starter, cap it out power-wise, then get frustrated that I cant do my own form of progression. Would you have any suggestion on how to make that progress leap, or where to look so I can gain an understanding of how to go from 50-100 divines per league to 500 plus?

Well, I think it just comes down to disciplining yourself to follow in the footsteps of people doing it before you. Follow a guide that’s for super endgame. The more you play the more you learn, the more you begin to understand the game well enough to venture out on your own.

I mean I consistently get 2d to 10d corrupted jewels/uniques in vaal temple. Just gotta go fast open 8+ vaal vessels and go next. Efficiency is the real money maker here. Yes each map is about 40c each but you make that 2d back in less than 5 maps with potential of mirror corrupted jewels with corrup blood like I do consistently. From actually rolling strongboxes (lmao) to coming back to Wildwood. Both of supposed "best" strategies are insanely tedious. Perfect for Snoo and other people who don't mind crazy tedium but not for most people. Not to mention how over the top hard it is. Limiting pool even further. And of course it's still total gamble in the end and snoo has to resort to normalising results / including rarest items in the game including fucking mirrors you might easily not see from the strat at all. And I forgot that, of course, it's much more expensive to run now further putting into question the very viability of the strat.

In affliction league, so many mirrors dropped it was determined that a ratio of roughly 1:20 mirror to sacred orbs. Different league with wisp mechanics, but that’s the best overall data we got at the time.

Edit. Loss 8 div per hour running this strat with current scarab pricing. Just did the 8 maps on this strat, expenses are 10 divines (actually more), scarab of bloodlines is more than 1 div, profits are 16 divines. 8 Sanctuaries took almost 40 mins, bad map layout. I have rolled the maps to very good pack size/scarab quantity. 16 divs profit - 10 divs investment = 6 divs in 40 mins = 9 divs per hour, this strategy is literally one of the worst you can find ingame

I'm sorry but this doesn't make sense. When I ran this, it was roughly 2.5div per map, meaning 8 maps would be 20div in cost. You can verify through the uncut twitch link in the description of the video, that across the entire span of 100 maps I averaged over 5div gross profit per map, in boss fragments, scarabs, and currency alone (no hinekoras or mirrors). So, in 8 maps I was averaging over 40div gross profit. I ran them in roughly the same amount of time. So I don't know how you could come out with such poorer results, save an awful loot filter, failing most maps, or just making the results up. The disparity is too great for how consistent these drops are.

Four or more good map rolls for either pack size, scarab, currency. So long as they aren’t all four scarabs or all four pack size. For deli orbs, I used only 2 for maps that gave monsters huge defensive modifiers.

I haven’t done extended testing on Santuary vs Ziggurat. Uber fragments wise, it’s pretty easy to anticipate, but layout and density is not so much. I believe Sanctuary in the past was proven to have the most density.

I'm a little confused, are you rolling all maps for 70+ pack size+ only maps with a 200% combination of currency and scarabs, or are you accepting maps that are extremely high in scarabs/currency without the others being present?

It’s variable. Most scarab rolls are 50%. Most currency rolls are 70%. Pack size rolls are 25% on an already ~35%. So a man needs to have 4 or more of those rolls. Like 100% more scarabs, 70% more currency, 60% increased pack size is nice (currency chisel for 170%) it can be missing a roll totally and I’ll use a chisel to help make up for it. Like 128% more scarabs and 140% more currency but 35% increased pack size. I can still run that with pack size chisels.

Ye the strat was popular and scarab briefly jumped but they drop so much that it quickly balanced out.

guys stop complaining about the scarab prices and use it to your advantage, instead of doing this strat, start running a scarab farming start and take advantage of the market and make a bunch of currency selling the bloodline scarabs, its not that hard. This is how the game works, never run the strats that conent creators run, instead sell the axes to the gold diggers and make ez money

I m doing hard juiced scarab farming in T17 and even if it s not the MOST profitable, i t s always really profitable. No matter what streamers are posting. Just change lootfilter and I I ready to go. 20d/h is a stable.

Not really. There's lots of good strats in T16 still, it's just like affliction, people saying nothing's worth it unless you get 6K wisps blah blah. You need a VERY good build to do this type of stuff every league, he is kind of downplaying "you need a blaster", no, you need a many, many div blaster or monolith tank with sufficient DPS to do this remotely.

While abyss maps take longer than your current setup, it drops more raw currency per map on average, and you can check this by the amount of chaos, which can range from 45-60 per map. I'm currently running 2x risk + abyss + edifice + flex (im testing nemeses, whisp, influence hordes, etc). Maps take 8 mins if your build is relatively fast, each abyss take 1-1:20 min per and you get 4 per map. Taking this into consideration, your average chaos per map (using a 1.6 multiplier, since you do run maps 60% faster) is 37.2, let's call it 40c. I'm not saying abyss is better or anything, but people undervalue how cheap and effective abyss (im talking hoardes specifically, they come from the scarab of edifice) is, although its not for everybody and also requires a caster mastery sadly (to open hoardes).

Yes, I think abyss is one of the better farms out there. This is a bit of conjecture, but there is speculation at the wisp mechanic may improve the ratio of the highest value currency drops through blue juice, meaning currency you find farming non-wisp mechanics has a lower likelihood of being a divine as opposed to chaos. Or a mirror as opposed to sacred orb. But this is one more reason I choose wisp/wildwood content.

He's talking about their relative rarity not relative value. He thinks sacreds are about 24 times more common than a mirror. I honestly feel like Mirrors might be even more rare than that but hard to say.

9:39 that's not how math works. +100% scarabs is going to work out to be the same "number of additional scarabs found in your map" regardless of whether you already had 0% or 150%

Going from 0% more to 100% more scarabs is a bigger increase in the amount of scarabs relative to how many you would have gotten if it was say 150% more vs 250% more. The former is doubling the amount of scarabs, the latter is an only a 40% increase. I remarked on the value proposition the chisel brings between these two scenarios.

@@snoobae8553 doesn't matter, all that matters is the % increase relative to baseline 100%. adding 100% to baseline is 100% more, right? adding 100% increased after that is only 50% more, but it is still the same increase in chaos value EV from the map. Providing a more clear example: you have the option to run 2 sets of maps, all else being the equal. Should you run 2 maps that each have +100% currency +100% scarabs, or two maps where one has 200% currency and the other has 200% scarabs? Trick question, they're the same! In either scenario, you still get 400% total currency and scarabs. 200,200 + 200,200 = 100,300 + 300,100. This is obviously not true for stats that multiply off of each other, like quant x pack size x rarity all multiplying off each other for exponentially more value. But currency and scarabs are not stats that work this way. they are as close to independent from each other as two drop increases can be

if your baseline is 50 scarabs a map before % increases, it doesn't matter whether you already have 500% increased scarabs on the map or not. another hundred precent will still be 50 more scarabs, and that's either the best option or it isnt. There is no number of scarabs that makes a currency chisel better or vice versa, because they are independent from each other. quantity and pack size are different, because they are multipliers with these scarab increases though

When I made the video, pack size chisels were 2:7, scarab were 2:11, and avarice were 1:7. These have been their prices for over a week. Everyone was talking about the Bloodlines scarab price hike, but the maven chisels sudden hike surprised me more. I recommend just rolling the maps a hair better and using regular chisels with that.

Big note, this feels pretty bad with no increased rarity. I ran 10 maps, first 5 were really bare, tossed on a gold flask and it got slightly better. Might be just bad RNG, who knows. Overall from 10 maps I made 3.2 div and that's without the cost of maps. Ran one ambush and made more currency than all 10 maps of this strategy.

I’m by no means an expert, just guessing on why my results over 10 maps were lackluster. Small sample size? I was running 60% deli, 150%+ currency and scarab (chiseled) maps with ~40-50% quant.

I can run reflect maps with either watchers eye determination swap for phys or elemental mastery for Ele reflect (and pantheon swap). I just put all those maps together in a row so it’s not tedious constantly swapping. I think I had 2 or 3 of those maps in this 100 map session here.

The number in the thumbnail is what I personally made in that set. The number in the title is a range that should represent average profit over long periods of time. Usually those two numbers aren’t off but in the case of this farm the focus is hinekora and mirror targeting, so it’s normalized with those in mind. And unfortunately I didn’t drop either, but we have pretty good data from Affliction league on the ratios of sacred orbs, hinekoras, and mirrors particularly with Wisps in play.
