Does this monitor work with everyone nvrs?

You can add ONVIF compliant cameras to the decoder in the monitor, and the monitor does have a VGA input that you can hook up a second NVR to if needed.

Nice video. I really wish you could add more than 8 cameras. Honestly, I can't think of a client of ours who would want to view only 8 cameras. Is there one that handles at least 16?

Sadly, we do not currently have a spot monitor with a 16channel decoder.

Do you sell just a decoder unit and not the monitor? For the life of me I cannot find a reliable decoder to stream RTSP.

Not at this time.

I just bought one of these and it came with zero instructions. When plugging in the monitor to my PoE cable it asked me for an admin password, which, without a manual, I do not know. I spent about an hour trying to figure it out, but no luck. From reading below, I figured out it is "123456", but I've already left the job for the evening. I'm not too happy about this. I can understand not having a manual, but why is there nothing online, or on your website with the defailt password? Not even a sticker that says what it is? Seems kinda basic. So much for the easy setup that was promised.

Excellent video! Love the humor! Watch that donut intake Homer! Can you control view using a mouse (eg maximize one channel then back to multi-channel view)?
@NellysSecurity2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes you can connect a wireless mouse to one of the USB ports on the monitor to control the builtin Decoder interface

Or just run a long HDMI cable from the NVR to any LCD screen

Thats working harder, not smarter!

@@NellysSecurity I love your channel and all your videos but I disagree. You have to run an ethernet cable anyways instead just run a HDMI cable. I use an HDMI splitter box at the NVR. This monitor is so expensive you can get a standard monitor in the same size for way less.

It would be worth it if it was 4k it wouldn't make sense to spend the extra money on 4k cameras to watch them on a 1080p monitor
@NellysSecurity2 жыл бұрын
This Spot monitor is more of a supplement to a camera system. Having one at store entrances would be an example. Then if you want to see the 4k cameras in all their glory, have a 4k monitor at the NVR itself. As the spot monitor has no storage capabilities either.
@Ciscopete242 жыл бұрын
You would actually need a 16k monitor to view 4k feeds in 4k and that's if you only do 2x2

does anyone know the default password when you first turn on the monitor?
@NellysSecurity2 жыл бұрын
It is "123456" for the "admin" username.
