Worth noting if you take the 5% damage per hit that the Urn mobs will drop a bunch of scarabs that each count as a hit if you don't kill them quickly, each one counts as hitting you and hence deducts 5%. Can end up looking like a one shot if you teleport into them.

I really fing hate these trails. They long and annoying and i get bored. Went to do trial of cunning last night and by time i walked in there i was bored of the run and i gotten more careless and died to a stinking spiked trap.

Very helpful video, thanks. I've been attempting this trial to get my final ascendancy on my chonk for a while, gained about 4 levels during multiple attempts. 😅 Only got to the final boss twice so far, and only got him to a bit after his first one-shot phase at 60% life, before I ran out of honour. The extra choice relic seems really good, will have to buy one - haven't encountered it myself yet, despite my relic locker overflowing.

I'm up to 124% resist, 40% def, 3% move speed, 3600 honour. I lose like 2 honour when I get hit. Fyi you can still freeze with the Fiendish Wings debuff. You just can't slow them, but they can be frozen. It's one of those take it if you see it debuffs.

I hated this experience until the last door I received you cannot die in the next room (on my 4th Ascendancy) I had a god run, I had god boons but the last boon saying pure immortality vs the boss? Priceless... LOL (fully face tanked it, for testing purposes and nothing killed me) amazing.

@@DonTheCrown Interesting, all worked out and did the mechs just incase, but in terms of dmg nothing hurt honor or anything. So i was quite happy overall since my first time i just died had no idea what the mechs were

You can still die/lose if you run out of honour, so it's not a you can't lose type of thing.

@@maciv33 I actually face tanked the final room and took 0 dmg to honor and ate every attack & dodged nothing. I collected the orbs & stood in time mechanic. Yes it does. I tested it to confirm.

Good video. IMO trial of chaos is so much less frustrating. Even though you have to farm for the fragments it’s still worth it not having to worry about honor

I accidentally salvaged my helmet and I ended up losing alot of honor 😅. I hope ggg adds the ability to lock items so that they cannot be accidentally destroyed or salvaged.

Greatest boon is the one where you take no damage in the next room. On my 4th ascendency I got it for the last boss, boss seemed easy after that :P

Trail of Chaos is both shorter and easier than here. I couldn't kill the 4th floor here, I killed the final boss on the other side on the first try. If you don't want to bother collecting the door pieces, you can buy them from the market

Why should you not dodge roll until the last orb?

dodge rolls make you move quickly then much slower as you stand up, overall its a movement speed loss.

First boss doesn't do any dmg with his on death explosion. I don't recommend 5% dmg on hit cuz zarokh and pots have 20 hit attacks in 1 second. If a pot puts burning ground under u for 1 second u just lose with it.

But to answer your question, they drop in the world. No specific location to farm them. Random drop.

I just left a trial 30 min ago thinking it was bugged. I had 13k honor and tons of boons. I mean I know it’s supposed to be a little bit of a puzzle but interacting with a trap to get past a door in gauntlet on the 4th floor is just fkn STUPID design. How in the world is anyone supposed to figure that out without first assuming the map is bugged. I didn’t know it was a “time trap” or how it could even work. Supposed to avoid traps right? There is nothing else in any of the trials like that at all. Im so pissed.

If you aren't trading though you're in a situation where you need relics to sensibly attempt a full run but you need to do the trial to get the relics in the first place. It reminds me of trying to get my first job and job adverts requiring experience that you can't get without a job which you can't get because you don't have experience. Absolutely stupid mechanic. I have to do trials without honour resistance knowing I'll probably fail hoping I'll eventually have enough honour resistance relics to attempt a viable run. Then those relics are used and you have to get more. Great game but this part of it is terrible.

I don't agree. I feel like games like Elden Ring and the like are just as frustrating. I look at this as a challenge to overcome without going EZ mode or getting carried. I feel like I'm getting more skill with the game by not just having it handed to me. I understand though. Last time I tried I got forced into Fiendish Wings or whatever it was and the monsters were unable to be slowed and were sped up... my build is based on slowing and temporal chains. Got to the 3rd floor for the first time and it was over by the second room. Going to just Time Stop every minute... heh
