Biya (the butcher of yaounde) Illegally Keeps Ambazonia to Pay His International Debts President Paul Biya continues to illegally hold the people of Ambazonia in a brutal and devastating conflict, using the territory to fuel and pay off La République du Cameroun’s mounting international debts. For over eight years, Biya’s government has pursued a “military option” against Ambazonia, disregarding human rights and international law in an effort to quell calls for independence. The toll on the people of Ambazonia has been catastrophic. Biya’s brutal crackdown, led by the Bataillon d'Intervention Rapide (BIR)-a paramilitary force notorious for its cruelty-has led to the deaths of over 45,000 Ambazonians. These deaths are not just the result of direct combat, but also of widespread torture, extrajudicial killings, and the deliberate targeting of civilians. The use of terror is designed to instill fear and break the will of the Ambazonian people, forcing them into submission under the oppressive rule of Yaoundé. Despite the immense suffering, Biya has failed to crush the Ambazonian resistance. The people of Ambazonia continue to demand their independence, with growing international support for their cause. The war has not only killed thousands but has created long-lasting trauma across the population, while Biya's government remains entrenched in its violent strategy. The international community has yet to hold Biya accountable for these atrocities, allowing him to continue using Ambazonia as a pawn to pay off his country's growing debts to international creditors. As the conflict rages on, the people of Ambazonia remain resolute, defying the odds and refusing to surrender, despite the heavy costs. Biya’s strategy may have inflicted immense pain, but it has not achieved the desired goal of silencing the call for independence. The people of Ambazonia continue to fight for their right to self-determination and for an end to the illegal occupation by la Republique du Cameroun.
