​@@hjjuuhhhhfff the taunt is all minion types, and the dragon next to it says that adjacent dragons keep the enchantments from combat. the said enchantment from combat being the spawning of 2/2 small pirates.

@@hjjuuhhhhfff So every combat the taunt gets more 2/2 pirates in it. The dragon allows the taunt to keep these pirates post combat so the dragon scales the taunt. He was saying just before the last fight that he'd like to replace the dragon with a second baron to ensure that he won, but he got the golden baron anyway so it wasn't needed. If the game had somehow continued after that fight he'd have looked for something like another eliza to replace the dragon with, but until that point he was just scaling.

Unless I'm mistaken, there's a bug and there weren't enough summons (crazy I know). I counted 9 1/1 sky pirates (correct), but only 30 2/2s when there should have been 54. And I'm pretty sure it happened earlier in the combat as well, but too lazy to go back and count.

Another fun way to scale this build is double poet. The two poets adjacent to each other allow them to retain the Eliza stats.

So... I am 100% sure the golden poet doesn't actually work, if it worked the amalgam should have had 5+(4pirates×4turns)=21 DR and should have summoned 63, instead it had only 5+(2pirates×4turns)=13 and only summoned 39 pirates, I guess the game just gives the amalgam twice the deathrattle but they count as the same one

Approximately 2000 dmg came out of that Phalanx when it died just in the pirates that it spawned, not including stats from Eliza procs. Didn't count how many were 1/1s vs 2/2s but 31/32 atk each and 63 pirates.

I did this combo today but with the Trinket that gives +20 Attack to your left-most minion. I also had Golden Titus. The Phalanx summoned 30 Pirates x3. That was insane. (1,800+ split damage from that single minion.)

in terms of this comp, it's just in case if you cant find another one, but yeah Phalanx is better cause of small stats, so it can't be de-reborned by 4 mana creature. Phalanx is best, Curators amalgam good, 6-7 from tier 6 is okay since it has overstat for Syndorai and needs to be taunted, Atrocity doesn't work at all

Thought about second phalanx vs second flagbearer that dog was contemplating. I think itd be the same amount of summons but wouldnt one phalanx always have its base stats scaled a lot from the other phalanx dying and Elizaing the board? Not sure it would matter that much but I think its slightly better with second phalanx unless Im missing something.

Speaking hypothetically: If dog had the same build but 2 non-golden flagbearers (ones which giving 1-1 deathrattle to your pirates) but in the end he kept baron and phalanx only and added kel'thuzad right to the phalanx... Would it resolve in making triplets the same way it resolves while dying in battle? Would dog ended up with 10 triplets in his hand? I know fight would be lost but just as idea could that work? Im kinda late tho... wish i watched this vid (and made this comment) in the day of video was uploaded

At the start of combat, Flagbearer gives your pirates a deathrattle to summon a 1/1 pirate that attacks immediately, but poet makes it so your dragons keep anything they get during combat, which doesn't usually happen. Since Phalanx is all types at once, you can stack the deathrattles over and over. In that final turn, including the fact that it's reborn, it would have summoned 108 pirates. -zenron
