He has one of the most beautiful male voices I've ever heard. I love his work, and hearing it in his voice is incredible. I just hope that whenever he speaks next, he's louder.

I just listened to the whole long lecture and it was so beautiful! Particularly I liked these sentences: It isn’t that lovers always speak.... There is that linking look.... Our souls intercourse.... Sages have said that: maybe we first love a person as object, then as presence, then as essence, then as disclosure of the divine, or all simultaneously. Wow! This hits deep and I can totally relate.

My favorite Li-Young Lee reading is one he did at BYU (BYU Speeches website if you're interested). It's called Infinite Inwardness, and it's stunning.

I was there! I was wrecked. A freshman. I remember the q&a afterward. I remember a missionary asking him if he’s read the BOM. I had to talk to him. He entertained me like a peer. Mailed me a poem he wrote on a typewriter. Wow.

@@morganrainey176 that’s incredible! I have to admit I’m envious. I’ve managed to get a few of my friends (some LDS) into his poetry. He’s a profound person.

@@morganrainey176 in May I was able to share some of his poetry at the memorial of a dear friend. We had a tradition of discussing poetry on most Sundays, and Lee was our favorite.
