I'm surprised by all the judgmental comments. Just because Josh is in a new relationship with someone else doesn’t mean he loves Sarah any less. Everyone writes their own story, and no one should judge them for it. I wish Josh, Carly, and their blended family all the love and happiness they deserve.

I will be honest and not lie to ya, haven’t been keeping up with the updates a ton lately but decided to stop in and see what was going on. I’m so proud of you dude, you have no idea how strong you are being able to push through everything. Especially those big changes like merging family’s and moving, switching lifestyles from items to memories. All of that (atleast me personally lol) is so scary, but I’m so glad it has been working out. I hope that Carly is supportive of these types of videos and she could come on for a little bit aswell, just to introduce herself or something. People don’t understand that processing, grieving, and acceptance begin long before a person dies. Even more so when your spouse battles illness for years before the death occurs. It may seem “quick” to some people, but Josh battled this WITH his wife for a long time. People process differently and honor a person’s memory differently.

It's great to know that all is well with you and your family. I lost my husband in July of 2018 to Brain cancer and in Feb of 2020 right before covid I met a man who lost his wife in Jan of 2017 and we are still together.We both own our houses and spend time with each other in both for now.Our kids were adults when we met and we were empty nesters.I connected with him because he went through the same ordeal as I did. We never had no problem talking about our loved one that we lost.I don't know how I would have been if my children would have been young like yours but life is short and if this change makes you and your kids happy I say go for it!! 😊😊😊

Love your Christmas display. Watched your family on You Tube. Who could forget Sarah and how brave she was? And how she lived her life to the fullest every last moment. It is wonderful you found someone to share your life with and all the children from both families are happy. Hopefully, new playmates for the kids as well (don't know their ages). Sarah would have wanted you to find someone to share in your life and help you and the kids and her family needs to adjust. It is very difficult to raise children alone. You are an awesome Dad.

I appreciate you, and I appreciate that you have the mental clarity to stop and consider the thoughts. Moving forward from death is something that we all do different, and it’s not easy. It’s a daily conversation. I have found it’s best to live intentionally, unapologetically, and without regret. I teach this to our kids. It’s hard for most to understand that two things can be possible. I can love Sarah forever, and live at the same time, and be sad, and happy. :)

I think you have done a really good thing for your family. You can stay stuck in grief and teach your children that they must mourn to be respectful but we all know that Sarah would not want that. When you have loved someone so thoroughly;y, you want to experience that again. There is no timeline for that. When you find the person that is the time. I wish you all the joy and happiness and to your Carly, she should know that you are a man who knows how to love and support someone in the most difficult of times. You were a loving husband to Sarah until she died and managed those children through their grief. She has a good man there.

Following all the way from Scotland, so glad to hear that you have found a way to positivley honour Sarah in your everyday life, I feel Sarah will be so happy knowing that you have found a way to move forward with Carly. A new relationship doesn't take away the grief or your love for Sarah, but it is testment to your relationship with Sarah and the way she loved you that she has been able to make you know that she would be happy for you to be happy and would want to see you live your life to the full (if that makes sense?).

I'm so glad to see that Josh and the kids are doing well. I lost my husband 2 1/2 years ago and in the past few months I've really been thinking a lot about dating and putting myself out there. Its been hard but I'm finally ready to meet someone new. Whether that is just a friend or maybe more I don't know yet. Six years ago I lost my step mom and my father started dating pretty quickly which upset me and then got married 6 months after losing my step mom. At the time I had a strong opinion but what I learned is every person is different. We mourn differently and my dad had been married to my step mom for 43 years and before that married to my mother for 18 years. He has spent his whole adult life with a significant other. He was so lost and I feel that is why he married so quickly. He is still married and seems really happy. I guess what I'm saying is until you have walked in someone else's shoes we just don't know what it's like so just be open, positive, loving, and kind.

I think your new relationship is awesome! How many kids does Carly have, and their ages? It's great the kids are all working well together.
