Big Ed's Barbecue - Meat Fest! Pulled Pork, Brisket, Ribs! Lava Cake!!

We head to Big Ed's Barbecue in Matawan, NJ to eat some of the best meats NJ has to offer! They also offer AYCE ribs but in our case, we wanted to sample as much of the flavorful meats they had to offer.
They give you free garlic bread to start. We tried the brisket, the pulled pork, two types of ribs (baby back and a spicy one), and some chicken. We also got the apple fritters, fried beans, mac and cheese, and some tasty coleslaw for appetizers. You guys must also try the hot lava cake!! It's a Big Ed's special!
We highly recommend them! Where else can you see a barn like restaurant serving some of the best meats? 😁

They got their theme down for sure, LoL. The BBQ looked great but the ribs didn't look fall off the bone tender. The chicken didn't look dry. 😋😋

They did a good job on the decoration, plus lots of photo ops. Melissa went Vegan on me, so it would only me trying this place. That combo plate would be calling my name. The only thing you were missing was the rice cooker. Would taste so good with rice.

Hello. A barbecue restaurant that looks like a barn! Everything is red! :D Small pieces of bread seem easier to eat. Wow! Big ribs! That's a huge amount. The macaroni and beans look delicious. Pulled pork and apple fritters, sounds like a perfect meal. The apple fritters seem more manageable there then the bakery down the road from us...where they are like 3 pounds, and once you eat one, you don't need to eat for the rest of the day.
