It's because the Fire temple track used sounds of muslim prayer. Specifically La Ilaha Illa Allah. Maybe Nintendo didn't want backlash even though I dont think there was.

Man, this really saddens me. I hope Nick really takes as long a break as he needs from whatever was building up that caused such an array of outbursts like that. Hopefully this isn't the end for Pogo - being a huge fan of his work like so many of us for so long - but if it's a choice between Pogo and Nick Bertke - my votes always going to be with Nick's well being. Being a concept artist & illustrator in Perth myself and doing a lot of work online everyday I can sympathize with his situation - the stress, isolation and pressure that comes with working online and having many social networking sites and followers - it's a lot of stuff to keep track of and something on Nick's level would be immense. Fingers crossed we get some form of official news soon - if you're reading this buddy - take it easy, take some time off to sort it out, talk to some friends and family if you need to, then come back and let us know what's going on - and all the best. - Austen

After I finish primary school and enter high school (which is next month), this will probably be the first song I play after the ceremony. why? Because this song will make me remember the good times I had in elementary school, and it will make me remember my classmates, including the ones I love the most and the ones who were always there for me... This song will clearly make me shed at least one tear. And I mean seriously, it's even giving me a little sadness to write this. 😔 edit: it became real guys, I graduated and... I don't know what to do now when I know that I won't see many of my classmates anymore...

I really admire pogo's work, and it's sad to see what you have said what he is doing. I didn't think he was going through a rough time right now, I just thought he was just taking a short break during these months. I just hope he takes time off and actually thinks about what he is doing, because if he comes back, after literally destroying his reputation, it will be hard to get the same recognition of awe when he does start again. I am not upset by the fact he is taking time uploading song, I just want him to rest and think of what he is about to do, not just temporally but also in years to come. If he doesn't want to make music anymore, thats his choice but I hope he does it on the high note so in years to come, people will remember him as a really good, then someone who had so much potential and just threw his pearls unto swine. and this song is awesome..... that is why I love his work. Ill miss his work. Hope he thinks about what he is doing.

It is such a shame that he is doing this. I remember being a little worried at first, but after reading the info and finding out it was all actually him, I felt a little despair that I might not to be able to hear him make new music. I hope that if something is troubling him, he finds help for it and he feels better. And if he is doing this fully sane, then I will be really disappointed. He's inspired so many people, myself included, it would suck to see him just fizzle out like this.

Daviiiiiid. DAVIIIIIID. Pleeeease. This shouldn't be a source of drama. There's enough of that going around these days on the Tubes as it is. It's funny. It's FUNNY. It's FUNny. Not sincere. Not threatening. THIS IS HILARIOUS. It's HILARIOUS--hilarious--HILARIOUS. Like... DYLAN'S COUCH-caliber hilarious. Please try not to take anything he's doing right now so seriously. He's gained what he's gained-- he may as well do something silly with it while he has the chance. Nothing bad about that. Who wouldn't want to mess with the status quo after a while? Look: there's so many ACTUAL misogynistic KZbinr jerks out there-- Pogo is NOT one of them-- and it should be completely obvious. Therefore-- it's the greatest ride ever. I mean-- you know who Andy Kaufman is, right? Just... think of this like Tony Clifton gone Internet. It's just some fun! soem fun timezzzzzzzzzz~~~
@SkyeGuy10 жыл бұрын
Satisfying, succinct and very beat-demolishing visual cut. Perfect variety of long & short cuts, reactions to the mood of the music, and rhythmically and theatrically just-- the best. The paused frames between vocal samples were lipsync-tastic, and the certain shot "motifs"-- the ones used multiple times-- were placed at JUST the right times to establish a sense of congruity. The atmosphere is palpable. You're truly the only one I know who truly understands why Pogo's videos works-- what makes them so special and impressive, even though they're all just stuff we've already seen. The visual itself sets up so many counterpoints of rhythm to the already complicated beat going on-- it's awesome. *thumbs up* Keep rockin' and seeing all the implied music in the cuts you make! ... And don't make a big deal about the death of Pogo. ;)
@goldpikpikcarrots10 жыл бұрын
After pulling this stunt for several days, even in private messages, it's hard not to take it seriously. Not letting anyone in on the joke, naming Soundcloud tracks things like "kipo drags his bitch to the abortion clinic again," changing his Facebook description to "soon you'll learn not to come here," I fail to see how it's hilarious, and I'm not alone in that. Of course he's since deleted most of his accounts and whatnot. But the point still stands, deleting it doesn't solve anything. I'm not the first to voice my opinion, and I'm not the one that started the "drama," I'm just stating my stance. It doesn't matter if he intended it to be funny, what matters is how people perceive it, and most of the comments I've seen on things like the Facebook fan page or Twitter are expressing the same concerns I have. He's done things like this several times with no provocation or explanation, so I can't simply excuse his behavior as a joke.
@SkyeGuy10 жыл бұрын
goldpikpikcarrots (Note before reading this: David, you're awesome, and everyone who doesn't agree with me is awesome. I understand not everyone has the same sense of humor as me, and I understand that this is rather extreme. I mean, I'm subscribed to another man who almost got REALLY sent to jail and filmed a comedy sketch while he was getting interrogated in his house. I'm just trying to nullify as MUCH of the drama here as possible. Because the Internet doesn't need anymore drama.) Deleting his Facebook and Twitter and Soundcloud doesn't solve anything? *hands on hips* As someone who refuses to get a Facebook or Twitter, I happen to disagree. Twitter and Facebook are both overbearing and wear on MY self-conscious. I only checked Pogo's Twitter, myself. One of my favorite bands is Tally Hall, as you probably already know-- and there's a man named Joe Hawley in there. Joe Hawley goes every year or so making a Twitter and Facebook then deleting it entirely, then popping up a few months later again. Joe likes anonymity, seclusion, he doesn't like being bothered, and he's very, very sarcastic and responds to everything as ridiculously as possible. He lives off of confusing and disorienting people. He even quit the band for a while without explaining a thing. And Andy Kaufman did all his famous comedic stunts without provocation or explanation. As a character, he came on interviews as an outspoken woman-hater with rage issues. When asked about his "jokes" and was told they weren't funny, Andy said, "everyone loves a villain". And... sounds like it's true here! It's just-- KZbin and Tumblr is full of ACTUAL crazy people. AmazingAtheist, RWJ, Shane Dawson, Onision, Alex Day, Josh Macedo, all these other men getting found out to have used their position of Internet popularity to take advantage of people and spread hatred and misogyny and bigotry. But Pogo's not that-- Pogo's just a grumpy, sarcastic, sharp-witted cynic. And he decided to test the system a little bit by spending his last few days on social media messing with his reputation in TEH STOOPITZEST TOGNUE N CHEEK WAYY POSSEBEL. Touching on abortion in that way SINCERELY is one thing -- doong it lik this iz compleetly anuvver. Doing it the latter way is like something someone would do if they were making FUN of the bigot, not actually BECOMING one.
