Just a tip on fabric choice, Rachael, for anyone considering making a pogonip: I made mine in prequilted fabric and the many layers that have to be sewn together defeated my sewing machines, even my heavy duty Singer. After breaking a few needles, I had to sew certain layers without turning them under e.g. the collar facing at the neck and the cuffs and waistband. The welt pockets were very difficult using the prequilted fabric. I agree it's a great pattern and the instructions and sew alongs are excellent. Just be careful, everyone, with your fabric choice!

Two things: I LOVE the daisies on your toile!!! And I remember seeing welt pockets on Sewing Bee... maybe season three? I knew after watching it that I would never want to attempt a welt pocket... and some promises are easy to keep!!! Your zebra fabric is terrific and this pattern looks fabulous on you!

Your sweatshirt looks fabulous. It’s not a pattern that I’d even heard of. I think you answered my comment on a different blog but I can’t find it. The alert comes up on the front of my iPad but then disappears. I wish I was as organised as you re. Fabric as I have too much and not necessarily what I want to use. Love your pogonip, this pattern is definitely on my list! Although I made the Roscoe recently in a sweatshirting and really struggled with the collar and stitching in the ditch! So perhaps fleece is the way to go! Thank you 😊

Love the zebra fabric choice. Awww your toile is cute. Sarah is fabulous love her style and colour pallet. The bag is so clever. It is too cropped for me. Not sure if I lengthened it by 3 or 4 inches if it would fit in the bag. Looks fab on you xxx

I'm making the Roscoe right now and plan on making the WBM half-zip sweater next. I love French Navy patterns but I didn't love the collar construction unfortunately...😢 I'm curious to see how WBM does theirs. I'm wondering if the Roscoe collar could be sewn in reverse order, sewing the wrong side first and then the right side, in order to avoid stitching in the ditch and hoping you catch everything on the inside? I hope I'm explaining myself... I'm not experienced enough to wrap my head around if that's possible...🤔

I just had a look to remind myself 😂 I think both have you attach the collar on the right side so you have to stitch in the ditch. I’m sure you could do it the other way around. I was lucky because I made both mine in very forgiving fabric so you can’t see where I missed and where I caught the fabric! Fleece is great at hiding mistakes 😂😂 Wishing you happy sewing and successful collars! Thanks for watching!

Great collaboration, I've made 2 versions of the rigel jacket with welt pockets and the Hathor and trial welts but was doing my third rigel yesterday and cracking up with the instructions for the welt so decided to google and came across a fab KZbin tutorial which was beyond simple, I won't shy away from welts again, sorry but can't link the channel but easy to find.
