Woohoo! When I started poi and learned some basic tricks I was like "wow, this isn't too hard!", but when I watch you perform with such clean planes it really puts into perspective how much practice it takes to truly master them! Your tutorials are very concise and helpful, keep up the good work! I really appreciate the very technical breakdowns you do; it's super helpful for internalizing the moves.

Bear in mind that I've been doing it a LOOOOONG time! A lot of that technique honestly comes with just years and years of discipline and focus. There's nothing standing between you and that other than time and dedication--keep up the good work! :)

Maybe i never should have quit spinning. Me and a friend looked at a video of Guinto spinning at a school eventish thing.. So we bought 500 glowticks in bulk online and a bunch of shoe laces and started practicing in the backyard. Eventually he was riding a motorcycle drunk and got into a crash that gave him permanent brajn damage. He no longer remembers anything and lives in a care facility. I continued spinning glowsticks around friends and one especially named Blaze noticed it and told me about raves and how skilled i was and how much people would enjoy seeing it at raves. So we started going to raves together and partying pretty hard. He was a DJ and into gloving, i eventually went online and bought some LED poi. Met tons of new faces. We eventually went to Counterpoint in Atlanta GA, and saw Avicii (RIP), Skrillex, Super Mash Bros, Bassnectar, everyone. I purchased some fire poi also and began spinnin for parties, birthdays, wedding receptions. Never charged anyone, it was a thing people enjoyed. I would light up the poi at a fair and a crowd of hundreds would surround and cheer at the end. I never should have stopped spinning.

Do you know of any intro contact staff classes available in the DC area? If there are no classes a place where I can try before buying one will also work. Thanks!
