My husband loved this band personally knew them . even though he was 10 yrs olderr than me they weren't really my thing but i grew too love them as well. This xmas 2024 will b 3 yrs since he passed and i think about him every day . We were together for 20 yrs . My point is when i hear there music i picture him in my mind smiling and dancing ( he was a terrible dancer) but it makes me feel close to him again.. 💕 ❤❤

I found this band because I liked their photo on the back of the LP in the record store back in the 80's. I chose wisely.

These guys are really hip and soulful -- I really like how how they do it in such a bouncy and sunny way. These guys were too modest to show it, but they were way ahead of their time.

A blast from the past. Hearing this with older ears I keep hearing Squeeze. His voice even has a bit of Glenn Tilbrook to me.

Definitely get a Squeeze vibe. Good call on that one.

I just watched this video, and I had watched "Jack Ass Ginger" a lot. I am very surprised that neither of these two made the top 20 MTV 120 minutes videos of the year for 1991. You guys are good. Wow!!

Saw them for NYE in Chicago. Opening the show dressed as a devil on stilts was too much fun.

These Poi Dog songs just sound glib. Sort of "I'm saying something really hip and soulful here -- don't you really like how I do it in such a bouncy and sunny way? I'm way too modest to show it, but my sunny-bouncy manner is ahead of its time. Lyrics that rhyme? The are so 1970s." Maybe this is one of those "ya' hadta'of been there" bands.

bminorscales Glib? Ha ha please, shut up. Clearly you don’t understand the feel of this vibe. This is a very specific era and feel. Clearly you were not there. And no it’s not 1970’s either.
